My father was the production manager of the McLaren F1. I flew us to Le Mans in 1995, to watch this car storm to victory. I must say, this is the best built, most detailed recreation I have seen of this iconic car. Sincerely well done to you, sir! Best wishes.
Fantastic build. But I am pretty sure the GT 1 decal on the left hand door is round the wrong way. besides that your attention to detail is a sight to behold.
Congratulations on building such a lovely car from such a crappy kit. Many, many years ago, MFH stood for top quality, but they have let builders down even more so in recent years, which at the prices they are asking, is not OK. But you managed to get over all the difficulties, so: 👍👏👌!
Nice work! I have the Climax version in the pile and while the castings are very impressive, my body fit is pretty poopy too. I suspect the resin shrank a bit over the years because it was perfect in 2000 when I purchased it.
Nice build. It's refreshing to see someone research their subject, get the colors right, add the missing details. These Hiro kits are a gift from Japan. MFH have almost abandoned 1/20 in recent years for the two extreme scales: 1/12 and 1/43.
Nice job on the kit. Now for the kit itself, sure it’s impressive, huge price, multi media, metal this and that and resin body, but wow, it sure looks like a piece of shit. I’d be so bummed out if I spent 500 cdn dollars for a kit from mfh and I got the quality you did. You however pulled it off and the result is fantastic man well done
Hello and thanks for your comment. The price of this kit is for its uniqueness, not its quality. But it is a very good base for an excellent result, with a lot of work. Also, this 1/24 series is quite old and very rare now. Its1/12 models improved but simplified to the details and materials (less PE, turned aluminium parts, etc)
Micro balloons are lightweight powder and you can search the word Micro balloons on eBay for some results. As I know AK-INTERACTIVE made Snow Micro balloons (AK8010) but I use Deluxe Materials ones (BD15). Here is a link: deluxematerials.co.uk/products/microballoons Hope this can help.
