I have jumped on the americauna and marans kick haha. I have 3 splash, one blue and one blue rooster. I think the americauna chicks are the least skittish of any chick I have had.

hahaha She's running the show. I've had a Self Blue Ameraucana Rooster for about a year and thought I had them figured out pretty well. But he (Silver) is a bit weird and I've found from the dozen more that I got back in Feb. fit your description pretty well. Slow growing little buggers but not from a lack of eating. They put away some vittles. Like a small tornado when I cut them loose out of the run. Only worry a little they are going to get themselves eaten. Edgy and cautious but fearless all at once. They will tear into the woods at the drop of a hat further than any of my other birds. And they don't like to burn any daylight and don't like to go in till the crack of dark. They're a mess but I'm enjoying them tremendously.... I'll be breeding them straight out but I keep Copper Marans also. Black and Blue but I've got a couple of beautiful Blue roosters I'm thinking to cross with Lavender Ameraucana's. They could catch the blue or black gene from the blue copper side but probably some pretty birds and my Marans lay some nice dark eggs. Maybe more olive egger first shot out the gate than easter egger? We'll see I reckon.

Good video. Easy to understand. I was thinking of doing a hoop house made with pvc and cattle panels, looking at your designs maybe the pvc is not necessary. I like your design better😁. Thanks for taking the time.

That's a beautiful design and so well described. You ought to produce a good drawing an exact material list with written instructions on assembly and sell them for $10. I'd definitely buy one.

DO NOT PUT MUSIC INTO A DIY DEMO VIDEO. INSANELY IRRITATING AND HURTS THE EARS.

New to your channel and just subscribed. I'm getting my girls in two months and want a sturdy coop and large run for them. Your hoop coop and chicken tractor designs are what I'm looking for. Living Tradition Homestead has a similar set up. You YT folks are rock stars!

I know this is an older video but that is a great looking hoop coop! I am looking to do something similar, mainly for my ducks to start, than build others. Any feedback on how well it has held up? I heard the wind in the video and was wondering if that is normal for your area? I am in West Central, OK, always wind here. Also, with the panels trimmed, how tall is it overall? I'm 5'4, but I want a little headroom 😊

The 365 definitely isn't smaller than the CW9. I almost view that Kahr as being in another category of "pocket pistols". You definitely can pocket a 365 or 43, but it's not going to ride like the Kahr, or a 380.

The sig is actually a single stack? Thought based on the size of the mag it was a compact double stack but I'll be damned that's nice for the print

I have 2 of these in my flock. I would not use the word “aggressive” for my two. Active, friendly and endlessly amusing. Very inquisitive. They “seem to like me” and stick close to me when I’m in my gardens. One lays blue-green eggs, the other is green-blue. My faves!

Agreed. We have 11 between 2 flocks. Our flock are so quirky, friendly & amusing...they don't mind being pet & love when we hang out in their run, but they do not like being picked up. I have a laying hen who still has shoulder time everyday when I go in their run...when they are stressed they will let us carry them & instantly lay their heads on us. We enjoyed our regular chickens well enough...but the Ameraucanas were a total game changer for us...we love them so much.

You asked me to give a reply on how I go about tightening a nut & bolt? Well, since the hex-nut is the stationary component, I use a wrench to secure it. And then, I'll use a socket to rotate the nut (the movable component) until it has tightened sufficiently. Okay! Now you know how I go about tightening a nut and bolt. 👍

Where can I find the canvas? Or is it just the "heavy purpose canvas drop cloth" found on Amazon? Are those able to protect your chickens dry during rain? Thank you

Always that one guy. Anyway, you are aware Chickens have hierarchical Societies and one of those ways of displaying dominance is "who can get highest?" Well by putting your nesting boxes as the highest bar so to speak, they'll fight over who gets in and where each lay. Actually it could & probably has interfered in egg laying. If I was you I'd put the next roost bar higher then the nesting boxes and away. Just my theory as a Chicken Keeper.

Will this type of shelter keep chickens through the winter? I'm in Northern Kentucky and the winter's here are not brutal at all but do sometimes drop below zero.

I really like this build. I use cattle panels when making my hoop houses (green houses) so I have some panels already. I just need to know where to get a good quality and strong tarp. Those cheap blue ones sure won't last. Thanks for sharing your build.
