Oh hai! Yeah, we've been thinking about coming down to an event now that we've got more time again. It looks like you guys have really added a lot to Harris Field!
Joshua, i'm trying to but it through your web page, but there seems to be something wrong with the ordering system. It keep saying no keyboard or something. Do u sell the bomb prop kit on ebay?
Hello, I have designed a small bomb starting from your code, I have added some features as a wire for desarm and one for detonated, and change of the codes. I have designed a conquest Territories sorry I'm french and i don't speak very well english you can contact me at pic-pac @ hotmail.fr.
I have the parts lists, schematics, and code up on my website. I can't really make a how-to video for assembling one. I do plan on making better videos showing the props in use though.
Make a 3x wrong lockout, each time code is incorrect the coutdown speed doubles and more frequent beeps after each incorrect code, maybe add in a functional mercury tilt switch to one of the inputs .. build a output port for the detinator cord attach a LED to it to represent the bomb . if nothing attached .. do an error code when time runs out like Error 0xAF1E ~ that output can be used for anything even to initiate building demolition
I use a custom stand alone Arduino. It is based on the duemilanove with an Atmega 168 processor. The serial LCD I have only uses one pin on the arduino, the TX serial pin.
Nice work! What Arduino do you use? I'm making something similar, but I'm out of pins on my Arduino Uno. The LCD uses 3 pins, but the 4x4 keypad uses 8 pins...
@JSMXBOX This is the old version. I use an Arduino, so no HEX files, but if you have an AVR programmer then you can flash the Arduino bootloader and code onto a regular Atmega 168. The current code and wiring diagrams are on my site, nightscapetech [dot] com. The code that is on there is really bad, so I am in the process of cleaning it and adding more features (like the ability to modify the arm/disarm/admin code and the timer from the prop). I am also working on making better instructions.
@ryanbrown006 This is a functional bomb prop for airsoft games. I built it using an Arduino. You can find out more at my site that is linked to in the description.
I am looking in to having a PCB fab house print out the circuit-boards for me. Right now the biggest problem is that it takes me 7+ hours just to make all the solder traces and leads by hand, then I have to actually build the prop. With a printed circuit board I could spend more time on the aesthetics.
