I’m just an amateur beer drinker who used to drink the big brand brews until I discovered some craft beers I liked. Until then I never really knew how many types of different styles of beer there are, so this is my adventure to sample what’s out there.
We are going to review as many styles as I can find that interest me, with a focus on local South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and others breweries from the southeast United States. We will also review beers from across the USA, and international breweries as well.

You said that it is substandard compared to craft lagers. I've found it hard to find a craft lager that actually tastes like a clean lagered beer. I'm sure they are out there (I'm in AZ).
Reminds me of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale my first (then) craft beer adventure (1990), before they took off. I'd be curious to do a side-by-side of the two.
