It’s great that you made the effort to do two different construction techniques! Personally, I prefer birthing the bag. Planning to try out the pattern soon!
Why are you selling 2 different bag patterns, never seen this done before in bag making, and my goodness the likes of lavender and twine give you more than your money is worth, with the pattern.and a fantastic video.
The patterns are quite different with their final constructions and took lots of work to do and test for each. So really they are 2 different pattern. Most love to do either the bound or birthed so this separates them out for people’s preference. Pattern pieces are the same, just the second half of construction completely different. Free video tutorials are included too on my channel so you can always watch and see which one you prefer. Sorry.
I LOVE that they’re offering two different patterns!! But if you’re familiar with bag making at all, you can just buy one pattern and finish it how you want! And Brandy’s tutorials are unmatched in quality! ❤❤
@@brandyjackson-beansbags it might have been better to charge a bit more for both patterns. Most birthed bags can be bound. So if I was buying your pattern I would buy the birthed one. Unfortunately a lot of us in most countries are hitting slightly hard times at the moment
@angelamcgovern1525 absolutely! As an experienced bagmaker yourself, I would totally suggest that!! If you follow the bagmaking groups, you will see people complaining about cost of patterns. We didn’t want to go higher to combine them, as that would make people very upset!!! Cost has been a hot topic. All I know is we put SO much work into this. I hope you make and share your Victory if you do

Kind of unrelated. I suffered with carpal tunnel syndrome for decades and finally had release surgery this year (both wrists 6-weeks apart). The recovery was uncomfortable for me, but probably because i didn’t rest them as instructed. But it was totally worth it because I’m totally cured. I hope you can get some relief from this terrible condition.
Ty! It comes and goes! I had a surgery years ago, and it only last a few years … so I just know to rest when it flares up and find hacks in my bagmaking that won’t aggravate it haha. ❤️

When cutting out the pieces and tape them together for the pattern is the slip pocket a little off? It says it should measure 12” H x 6.5” w but I got 11.5” H x 6 1/4” w. Is that ok? Or should I cut the slip pocket 12” x 6.5”?
