Silvie is fine. She tops and wins a lot because a ton of people play her. She's one of the cheapest tier 1 decks to make because of re:collection. Tristian would be getting the same results of Silvie is she didn't cost x4 to make.
I only hope that they reprint the Re:Co decks because we really got some new people at my locals asking for them. They bought ALC starter decks for now but are hoping for those Re:Co too.
I dont think this is fully the case I think Tristan is a very different deck where the complication is alot harder then that of silvie. I think Tristan would have alot more results from top players if it was the case.
@@Raravin Kay, looked up the past 5 events on Luxeras map just now. Other than Florida Silvie was pretty balanced in representation in top 8. Just slightly more tops than the other chanpions in most and Crux hybrid actually out paced her in Hong Kong. I feel like you're just sick of seeing her because of how much she was dominating at the start to mid of the season. I think you need to recognize she's really started to balance out. The Stone Scale errata hurt her more than you think.
honestly storm slime is not a super big problem, like what you said there are like alot dmg mitigation to stop it. The biggest problem to me is ethereal slime, 5/5 big body once slime gets lvl 3 that draws 1 and replaces itself and having stealth so very hard to remove. Maybe remove stealth from it and i think everything will be actually fine :D
Nah, nothing special this time except you are right about all 4 nicos being teammate. 2nd placed and 4th placed slimes are also part of my team so we got 6/10 ppl topping the regionals which is a great result for us
Amazing content! Love to see these under represented champions finally break through the wall that is silvie, tristan, and lorraine. Can't wait for the next one
forgive me if it is rude to ask where did you place for ascent? I am building your Rai list from your deck tech and plan to take it to ascent toronto in October and was curious how it performed for you.
Honestly went 0-3 but I paired into wind allies, wind allies and tristan seeing none of my combat negates, but snuck a game off everytime. It was sort of down to drawing properly. I was on a video with Team Ordinary Bear and talked about Rai if want to try their list.
@@Raravin thanks for the reply. The only other deck I've played so far is water Arisanna so even if not the top of the meta is probably gonna feel great haha.
Nice breakdown. My nico list is different from the other Nico mainly in the quicksilver + blinding orb so that I have better matchup into slime since I can blinding orb + frostbind their lvl 3 first slime. Quicksilver a scepter and cracking qsg upon merlin ability to eat float also allows u to prevent them from eating your float. All in all qsg is an anti merlin/slime tech
Hi, was the #1 here. Thanks for covering the event, the resolutes are more for me reading the meta expecting tristan a lot so I put them in the main so I'm not too gimped game 1 vs them and allies in general
@Raravin cool good luck with the deck, in terms of gameplay, you're pretty much beating down with the allies and if they clear them, ensoul is for burst damage
Nicely done. I liked what you did for the errata by adding that note to make it easy to see the difference. It'll be interesting to see if the errata changes how the deck functions by having that slower turn.
One of the things that I've always said is that there's no point in playing a game if you're not having fun with it. The meta in it's current state is definitely in a rough place no doubt, but I think it's good to take a step back and reflect on how you want to play the game. Looking forward to seeing you move forward, whether through GA or elsewhere!
I definitely agree about how this meta isn't as enjoyable as others and it is rough how Ascent Chicago went. I definitely understand how you feel about the direction of competitive and how it's awkward to find something that works. As for quitting competitively, perhaps giving yourself a break for a while could be good? After all, high competitive play is kinda sitting there not doing much and everyone is playing safe atm.
@@Raravin That's understandable. That's the same reason I got into GA, other than the fact that at the time of 1st Edition DoA, the card quality was better than anyone else at the time. I'm sure once you step back and have time to breathe, you'll enjoy other aspects of the game. Hopefully there's more written lore to delve into :)
I think you are pushing alot content on this channel which affects your playtesting and gameplay. I love your content, but playing the game competitively is very hard to be rewarding since you have to top almost every event to make it worth. I love your content so i feel maybe you can push out more content instead of playing competitively and hope you get some casting opportunities. Content wise, since you makes alot regionals recap / breakdown videos, hopefully you can invite some of the top players to do deck profiles or just generally pick their mind on why the decks are build those ways and stuff like that.
Ye thank you im glad you are liking the videos and finding value. it is something I want to get on the channel some point is more people to cross collab with. I just a super competitive person so not doing so anymore just hurts. Which is why I think I been able to do the meta breakdown videos since I am able to break down the gameplans and decisions.
