I made a mistake when adjusting the time by turning the hour and minute hands anticlockwise. Now the hour hand is loose. I really didn't expect such an expensive clock to be so easily damaged. Is there any chance that i can fix this?
I've had a new mechanism for months and months but managed to get clock going ago. It finally gave up the ghost today. It looked easy but I faltered when putting on hands.... They were all floppy.... Google search gave me this video. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Everything explained clearly and in detail. I've had this clock for maybe 20 years; just a cheapish clock from a hardware that no longer exists but I like it. Hard to get a clock with all my requirements. You explained it all so beautifully. Now my clock is up and running again and it can go for another 20 years and see me out! 😀😀👍👍👍👍
Thank you! The minute hand came loose and when I took it down to tighten, all parts came off above the hour hand. Your video enabled me to reattach them in the right sequence.
Is your hour hand loose and hanging down to 6 o'clock? Try pushing it back onto the shaft. Turn your minute hand clockwise to 12 o'clock, count how many times it cuckoos, then push your hour hand on according to the number of times it cuckooed. If that doesn't fix it, you probably should look at getting your clock serviced by a professional clockmaker.
I recently found the clock i bought for my parents back in 1990 while stationed in West Germany. . I haven't heard it work in years and had no idea what I needed to do. Thank you for the very informative video
Just got a Geo Kuehl coo coo clock and trying to get it figured out. It was given to me. It's got 4 chains and the thing that sways back and forth. I think I'm missing weights. But the right side chains I can't get to move. I guess the clock is really old. Made in Germany 🇩🇪

I have a battery operated Black Forest cookoo clock i bought from Germany several years ago. It has the cookoo bird and dancers that chimes hourly. It cookoo’s 10 minutes after the hour although it shows the correct time. How do i fix that? Also how to adjust the time with daylight saving time. Thank you.
Excellent presentation. I have a Pearl Grandfather clock from 1985. Looks new and runs like a charm. They say it's like having a living being in the home, all the movements and sounds. So true!
That is a VERY beautiful Clock, with like you say, some very neat features. However, the chiming is not very melodic; sounds pretty cheap; I’ve noticed that they seem to penny pinch on the quality of a chime these days. I was horrified when I followed the Link and saw the price of this Clock! I was immediately about to purchase one - but it would have to sound better than this I’m afraid... Thanks for sharing. Thank you! Approximately 6 foot / 180cm off the ground to get the maximum run time. If you hang it lower for aesthetic reasons then it will just run for a shorter amount of time.
