Dude, this is leagues better of a video than other similar videos I've seen from creators multiple times your size. The fact that you've only got (at time of writing) 44 subs is criminal. Let's boost this guy ✊ Also, one more strat I never saw explained. What's with Midi still shooting the cans in Shooting Range? Wouldn't it be faster just to let them fall off the screen? Did he just shoot them because he didn't have enough points, or dropped a combo?
I totally forgot to explain the cans, my bad! The reason midi shoots them at the end is not only to acquire more points (as I believe he was just under the platinum threshold without that), but cans fall down faster with each subsequent shot! They may fly into the air, but the rapid descent speed more than makes up for it. Additionally, Midi had to wait for that last can to finish falling anyways. Thank you for the support! Hopefully my future videos don't disappoint :)
It is extremely rare to catch someone that is soon to become RU-vid famous before they actually are. You just made an extremely quality level video, you currently have less than 50 subs, and this video has less than 400 views. Years from now, this comment I’m making will be a spectacle for what’s to come. Excellent work
Absolutely amazing WRP, it's tragic this has so few views, and you absolutely deserve more subscribers. From the script, to the editing, to the pacing, it felt completely professional. Hope to see more great content!
Thank you! I received a bunch of editing tips from friends of mine that were extremely beneficial to the final product! Compared to the other WRPs I've made, I'm definitely most proud of the way this one turned out and although I don't have another project lined up, I certainly plan on making more in the future :)
YOOOO Th3on3C great video, I love that category and I was wandering If at some point someone was going to make a wr history video :D very entretaining 59:33 video, + first steps at 11:00
amazing WRP as always by the charge GOAT! you really did a great job <3 spoilers below: dude you caught me off guard with that laser hockey circle paddle and the charge thumbnail LMFAO thankfully standard TAS runs start from console boot so score skip is at least one advantage we have over TAS for now. maybe i should go for 57:xx with Tanks mission 30 FPD tho 👀 next stop GDQ?
Man, Wii Play at GDQ would be so hype, I did consider talking about ace's paces and the FPD you did there, but the video was already so long 😅 I'm glad you enjoyed the vid, means a lot considering how much you're involved in it :3
incredible video, i cant believe that my sick pb is now inmortalized here LMFAO (will beat it soon) also huge congrats to SMMidi for being the best wii play player alive. without him i wouldnt have joined the community at all and im so incredibly grateful that i did
Not sure if you remember me but I used to speedrun mobile games like Cat Bird and SDD. I haven’t ran those games in years but seeing this in my recommended made me wanna try again! Not sure if I’ll get to it soon, but I definitely want to now!
I remember you xorn! It definitely has been a while but it's awesome to see you again :) I hope you've been doing well, if you decide to get back into speedrunning then I'm excited to see what your comeback will bring 👀
I honestly didn't know how far this run had come, thank you for making this :). I don't think I've touched the category since 2018, so pretty much everything after LeRemiii's time was removed was new to me, and it was really enjoyable to learn about all that has happened since then
Really nice vid ! A bit of context as I didn't know people were so angry about some random mobile game LB in 2018: I was 17 at that time, barely had a correct phone and no webcam nor computer at the beginning. It was my first speedgame and I was put as supermod automatically (or by Src mods) because I was the only active runner I guess. Gyrule can indeed confirm my legitness as I ran next to him for most times. All this to get to my point: don't be too agressive on people you don't know. There was no malicious intent from my side at aml and if I had seen such violent messages during the arguments I probably wouldn't have reacted nice. The video is a really cool ressource and clearly fun to watch, nostalgia hits to an extent haha
Looking back and gathering the screenshots, I was also pretty surprised at how harsh everyone was, especially after developing bonds with them within the past 5 years But some understanding is there because you were so ahead of your time and everyone was also like 13 to 17 years old back then so we were all pretty immature, but take solace in the fact that you were a massive inspiration to many runners at the time, I know that I used your description of the run as a template leading up to my first wr so thank you for taking the first step towards really optimizing this category :)
