Ive wanted one of these for a while now. There's only thing that stops me pulling the trigger on one. The guys at silver stag use no common sense when putting the handles on the knives. I've seen some handles that are so curved the knife is completely unusable. You have a really nice example.
good idea, tough enough to take the chaffing. saw a presentation about mail lately that mentioned evidence of 'off the shelf' mail back in the day as well; maybe on Matt Easton's scholagladiatoria channel, evidence being from some record keeping and art work of the time. Ofcourse there was the tailored pieces as you mentioned and for the most part, like in any age the more you can spend on something one can get the quality, nice to see your vid, be well
One of Matt Easton's videos from quite a while back was one of the things that got me thinking about lighter weight arming jackets. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SMlur_1dgqY.html
Also, something I noticed a bit was that because the Judo gi has wider sleeves than the Jiu Jitsu gi, it seemed to mitigate the floppiness of the maille sleeves a bit more.
making fun of this man's minor weight issue is the lowest form of humor...he's sharing a "how to" clip and says he's working back into shape...give him a break
I am trying to find a beam through my dry wall ceiling in my garage. But my stud finder keeps giving me wrong indications and I continue making useless holes. Any tips/advice? Thanks
Nice set up man.. I too need to hang my bag up as well... I see that you live Cleburne.. I live in Burleson... Can you tell me how you were able to hang that up without crawling I to the attic? Thanks for posting the video
Where can i buy those springs?? And everything else i need to hang my bag. I'm buying mine tomorrow and i wanna hang it in my room like this, So please reply as soon as possible!
@llAkuTsUll concrete roof? I don't have much experience here. I'd guess that if you can't get inside the crawl space above the ceiling that you'll have to find the I-beams, drill in and use lag bolts to secure your bag.
@LOKPIM I live on the outskirts of Cleburne, TX, about 45 minutes SW of Fort Worth. For now we have a nice view of empty fields and horse and cow pastures. Some day, though, it will all be built up with houses. :-(
Alright dude, I had been going around different sites seeing home setups of heavy bags and I find the rafters very annoying. I do hope that your new setup is far better. I had redone my garage and used a title hanger for my heavy bags this time. I previously hung my bag from two eyehooks, like yours, but had them close together and connecting to the joists. Those hold. My choice of using the hanger actually makes more noise in the house since the wall is shared with the living room.
@nocando1234 yeah, good point. I normally move the grill out the way and don't do bag work outs while grilling. Of course, that is probably the time when I need to be working out the most. ;-)
Good kicks but you need to keep your hands up to protect you face! About the structural integrity I can understand your concern! I knocked my heavy bag out of a huge pillar in my ceiling :S
I remember this liek it was yesterday . I had to give Phil my blui gi after his ripped but thats what a teamate will do great video and better memories tks.
Off and on it a few MAs, but mostly TKD, since September 1981. I've mostly been doing Gracie Jiu Jitsu for the last few years, until I moved to a town with no quality MA schools. So, I bought a heavy bag to try and get back into shape and start working on my stand up again. I'd noticed at the Bullshido Throwdowns I've participated in down in Austin that my stand up has really deteriorated since I stopped training TKD back in 2005.
