Hi! I'm Kristin! I'm "A Rural Squirrel" and I've been a long time thrifter and bargain hunter. Come on thrifting adventures as we travel in our camper looking for treasures and bargains at Goodwill Outlets all over the country to give them new life and new homes. Sometimes I keep them for my family, but most of the time, I sell them. No matter what, its always an adventure! Check out all my links to keep up with with all of the fun!
Hi! I would like to go with my teenage son, what time do you think is the best time to go? I have extreme anxiety and would like to go when it’s not insanely busy
I started out selling hard goods then got into purses and clothing. Clothing is definitely easier to ship but man, I do love packing hard goods! I just don't like storing them.
Great question!! I know how much my item weighs, so I put that into that section of my eBay listing as well as my package measurements (or my estimate of that). With those details, the system will give you the shipping costs with that info. For more accurate, step by step directions about shipping, check out my friend Scot’s channel, Cha-Ching King! He’s got some fantastic tutorials! (He used to be a teacher!) You can copy and paste this link for his shipping video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mdVL0gm4h9Y.htmlsi=8Tro4HQumeW-pV_y Thanks so much for watching!!
I live in Omaha and I'm such a chicken and don't go to the bins. I'm definitely going to give it a shot now!! I have never seen those row houses, are they close to Junkstock
You’d love the Omaha bins!! They are just so chill!! Nothing at all like the stereotypical goodwill outlet!! Worth the trip for sure!! Those houses were not near Junkstock at all actually. They were down near Via Farina - if you’ve never been there, it’s sooooo worth going!!
@@ARuralSquirrel Oh wow! I just looked at their menu, it looks delicious! Looks like you must have been near downtown Omaha. It's hard finding friends these days that will leave their bubble so maybe I'll go alone! 🤩
I usually put a sticker on those boxes that say “Proudly shipped in Recycled Packaging”. It makes a difference in perception. Thanks again for watching!! I really appreciate it!
well let me tell you that "san francisco" bins (which is not even in San Francisco in the first place) should be the #1 on that list.... no carts, dark, super competitive, will never find good brands, it's tiny, and operations is bad.
Did they close one of the Goodwill bins in Denver I can only find 2, one on kearney st and one in englewood, please help a newbie, thanks, happy binsing
Great question! I knew that they had been working on phasing out the Aurora bins but I wasn’t sure if it had closed or not. Kearny is my favorite - although last time I was back in Denver for a visit, I went to the Englewood bins and it was great! There is, however, a new bins off of Federal in Westminster. (Check out my video about that one in opening day!) Happy digging!!
Oh man Janet! Might need to have someone check out your listings with you and see if they can help you. Might need to tweak some things! Check your area for a local eBay meetup group where you can find other sellers in your area that could maybe go over it with you one-on-one. Thanks so much for watching!!
I totally thought you said Google Outlet LOL. Just went to Maine last week and didn't get to go to the Bins, I was so disappointed... you go for me!! I bet you find a lot of cool stuff.
Bahahahha!! Google Outlet! That’s funny! Wonder what that would be like? 🤣 I’ve not bin to the Maine bins! But I wanna go so bad too!! #someday It’s amazing what you can find thrifting all over the country!!
That's the Goodwill Bins I like to go do it's close to my sister's house. You said it wasn't busy that's normal when I've been there. I found some pretty good items there at that Goodwill Bins.
So happy to see a bins video, it's been a while. I hope you start putting out videos more frequently. Since you moved, they've been few and far between. I thought when you got your resellers shed built, they would increase, but not so much. We miss our squirrel girl !!!! Can't wait for Junkstock!
If I lived close, I’d sooo go! Wish I would have had more than just an hour to dig!! It could be such a fun day! Hope you go and find some fantastic stuff
I’d like to visit that Granville bins someday. And to be honest, I think every other bins location I’ve ever been to has been way more rowdy than this one! LOL! Wish I had more time to dig there!!
St PETE - location is likely one of the worst. Yes as in ST PETE in FL. People aren't friendly - lots of attitudes - and SUPER DUPER OVERLY competitive.
The price of the glassware is great though!! And the people that work there were super nice! (If only the customers would take a page from them!) It’s just the Gaylord’s that I don’t like the most!!
Me and my guy hit up the antique stores on our way home from our camping trips. Thorp and Cle Elum. We passed Labor day weekend because it was 95 degrees when we were packing up. Nice you and Mr. Squirrel had a nice vaca. I will be doing something amazing next week! I'm excited.
@@ARuralSquirrel Kristin, don't forget the other fruit/antique store in Selah, not far from Yakima. George @theantiquenomad just did a video on that one.
I am in Bay City. I didn't know about this bins either. I have been to Flint which is small and Grand Rapids which was hectic. This seemed really nice. I'm excited to try it out. Thanks.
