what is the BHN of the metal flight they just formed? Looks like Mild Steel BHN 250. I need it to form an 3/4 inch thick with a BHN of 470 to 36" pitch. What cha think.
Hello Bobby, The Brinell Hardness of Mild Steel is actually 120-130 it is the yield strength the is 250mpa. Forming a quench and tempered steel with a Brinell Hardness of 450 or so in 3/4" thick is ok as long as the ID of your helical screw fight is at least 1/3 the OD. I hope this helps. AST Team

What is the maximum capacity of this machine? I'm looking for one that can bend 11/4 inch thick, 54 inch diameter, 20 inch pitch, on an 8 inch diameter shaft. Is this machine capable of this .
Hi Winston, The machine model shown in this video is our Super Tyro, it is capable of forming helical screw flights from 1.25" A36 material with a maximum outside diameter of 48". Our Titan machine model is capable of forming helical screw flights from 1.25" A36 material with a maximum outside diameters approaching 110" depending on ID

Ok sir understood but... Software calculate by the formula. Your machine was very advanced.. But i try to one small my college project that's why.. My doubt was : 1. Everytime you change the dies for variable pitches? Or single die make all the pitches. 2. Die angle it's relate to 3 types of gaps. Like form gap, extract gape etc. 3.die angle was our assumption or any formula... Like angle x pitch /2 .
