i just did this job on a crusty 2008 Honda Element with like 327k km i envy how clean this ep3 is. I had to replace the oil pan cuz it rusted through so imagine everything else that is also rusty 🤢
It did. swapping the sump resolved a probably terminal issue with the oil inlet nearly completely blocked due to the PRB sump having one to many hits. @@deesautohouse367
@@JojosMotors No I did not. If I were smart, I would have disconnected the sway bar. The tension from the sway bar was holding it up further. Instead, I just used a big prybar to push it down as I mentioned in the video.
Nice save! Last time I had someone let me drive a Miata at an Autox, I also ended up with the wiperblades on, except I was facing the wrong way, and stalled, and on the grass. lol
ty ty, Yes I've improved quite a bit since this video. This was my first setup with the car, but I've made a few adjustments and learned the correct tire pressure.
How is the feeling after the install? My stock one has a ton of play. New linkage cables have been installed, and still tons of play. Any insight would be awesome! Thanks man.
For future reference any of you getting and installing new shifter cables , attach them on to the shifter assembly then run them through the car and bolt the shifter assembly to the car .
Good video thanks, one thing I did to get cable boots back on easier was pull out ashtray, and 4 screws and the metal tray flips up so can get hand in there.
I love it! As some others mentioned. You might want to lube the plastic pieces where the cable connects to the shifter. I went back and did it afterwards bc it was a tad bit stiff ans sticky as first. Other than that the short throws make it really nice on top of the already excellent placement of the center column shifter.
nice video bro it's very educational to myself and I'm sure others.im also going to install a short shifter on my ep3.i ordered it already check my channel out!! we can learn from each other thank good video
oh by the way... my OEM shifter looks like it had some greased areas and it moved much smother.... should you put a little bit of it because the new one looks dry and its really stiff...?
thanks for the vido.... but those cable holders are a god dam BITCH to work with... and when you said you need a big screwdriver.. no fucking kidding... you need a dam crowbar...
