Beauty after Dark truly spoke throughout this episode! Rosanna you are an amazing vessel! I thank you for always being transparent and open flaws and all! ❤
💜 it’s definitely an if you don’t know you won’t know or have any idea bc I wear it so well situations for me. People outside of my circle only know my diagnosis if I’m experiencing a flare & decide to share. Thanks for shedding light on a topic that affects so many of us who often choose to deal with it in silence due to the many layers of misinformation, misunderstanding & misdiagnosis.
The rash is a MAJOR indication and black women unfortunately need to understand differential diagnosis and hold doctors accountable. They basically have immunity from negligence. MDs are ok but DOs are better. I can go on about how black women literally have stress that triggers the onset of autoimmune diseases and that one treatment fits all is INSANE! I'm thrilled to see this guest take her health into her own hands. I recommend every black woman invest in bloodwork with a DO. It's expensive but worth it.
I'm happy the children are safe from one of the people that should have been there to protect them. That monster should be in prison. Systemic racism is REAL. When the victims of sexual assault are marginalized women, typically nothing happens to the predators.
Great interview thanks for sharing. I too experienced bullying in school and there were some dark days. But I was told there is power in the name Jesus, so I called on Him often. Unfortunately I had my share of fights bc like who are you to keep talking to me like you’re better. Parents talk to your kids about bullying. Trust and believe it will come back around.
Great topic and I pray it finds a young lady and blesses her. We teach our children but providing them with resources and tools to a long way. Thanks for sharing
Great interview. What a remarkable story of perseverance and grit. Thanks for sharing your experience. I love that you both don’t condone teen pregnancy but letting young girls know that there are resources for them to grow, continue in higher education and become successful and not live in poverty because of their choices. 🫶🏾
Maybe you perceived it that way, but I think the personal relationship between the two made the conversation more lax. I didn’t hear/see the insensitivity myself
Or you're just an unhappy person and only see the negativity. They clearly have a beautiful relationship, full of love, laughter and light! You might want to rethink the way you critique others.
INCREDIBLE! Thank you for sharing this information. In our community, we tend to keep certain conversations taboo but talking about serious health conditions is important.
And this is why I always overthink not being able to make friends events. Sometimes your presence is really needed for that friend. It’s usually deeper than they communicate
