There is one point which is frustrating. On my bike, this does not fit. I have to buy some plastic as a spacer. I paid 300 Euro for Mac Ride and 40 Euro more for plastic parts from Temu.
In theory, could you put the Macride spacer above the stem? I know the instructions say not to, but I don’t know if it would change anything structurally.
No, above the stem does make a big difference. The top cap is not a structural component, it's only there to load the headset bearings. The stem is the structural part that hold everything below it together. Hope that helps.
@@TU5JP4urio You can place it anywhere. It slightly changes the space between your kid and your chest/chin. If your kids are small, you can do top of the stack to keep them closer to you. As they get taller it's nice to try and create as much space between you and them as you can so you can go to the bottom of the stack to try to prevent their helmet from bumping your chin.
Great video. Can someone explain what camera and helmet mount he got there? And how did he get a moving 360 shot on this rig like he did from 1:36 ? I'm very curious if someone could help me?

The seat is great (I am biased, however!). $55k raised and $10k to go over the next 11 days, so all pledges and/or seat pre-orders are welcome. www.kickstarter.com/projects/ridemore/mac-ride-a-unique-child-seat-for-adult-mountain-bi
