This is stupid. A human carrying ‘drone’ is no longer a ‘drone’. A drone by definition is an unmanned aerial vehicle. So, calling this a manned drone is basically a manned unmanned aerial vehicle. Also, the design is atrocious. I would be surprised if anyone got lacerated in the neck by this.
Well, as I assume it happens to you often, once again, you're completely wrong. *_"A drone is a flying robot that can be remotely controlled or fly autonomously using software-controlled flight plans in its embedded systems, which work in conjunction with onboard sensors and a Global Positioning System (GPS)."_* *_"Drones can be manned. Some aircraft can be flown as manned aircraft or an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). For example, a vehicle can be remotely piloted in most situations but has an autonomous return-to-base function. Drones can also fly with various degrees of autonomy, such as autopilot assistance, or fully autonomously without human intervention. "_*
I'm sure it's a lot quieter in straight level flight than it is when it's hovering, but I'm concerned about the noise level inside the cabin regardless of the flight mode because the thrusters are mere inches away from the inner cabin wall.
This is cool and everything and in all honesty, best of luck with the project... But... The most challenging part of this might not even be to make it work. For sport events, I think this might be a successful venture. But forget commercial use. Trouble with Mr. Joe Regular, is that he's already at risk of running/getting ran into by someone else on ground roads. Mr. Joe Regular might not be as dexterous as a certified helicopter pilot either. Heck, a lot of people have trouble parking their cars within the lines in a parking lot. And with increased air traffic, I can only imagine the kinds of mishaps that could ocure. And I'm sure that the consequences to such things would be a little more severe then scratching off someone's paint job. The weakness to this project isn't the tech, it's the pilots. Regulating it all would be beyond nightmarish.
I’m in LA, I’m sitting here watching the self driving cars. And all I can say is, the future is here. Now we have this. It’s amazing what I’m seeing in the last part of my life, my last 50 years. Makes me wonder what’s next before I go.
There in lies part of the problem, the current model is going to be limited to a very, very, very niche market a/k/a the general public is not going be buying these & commuting, let alone running errands with them. Don’t get me wrong “if” Doroni can actually pull this off & sell a couple 100/1000 as backyard adult toys, to those that can afford them, hopefully Doroni will focus on offering “taxi-cab” models that can shuttle 4+ people between key points, in crowded cities ❤
“ 🤣 o for crying 😭 out loud , you all done yet ? I am man of great patience, for crying out loud let Roy soon show the world 🌎 how things are done for crying 😭 out loud “
Haven't seen many comments about weight, I'm not fat myself, but I see the main issue is it being to expensive, if ur gonna be a dick at least make it right
I love this idea but the thought of a human being driving it, texting, talking on the phone, you know ALL the same crap they do while driving their car. Drunk drivers,,,,,,, i trust the vehicle, just not its owner.
