Metallica at their best and rawest kick ass before becoming a corporate rock machine that came with their 'Black' album. No interest whatsoever in anything they've put out since '..And Justice For All'.
Cliff was playing his heart out and then Lars caught the spirit and was really playing the drums back when he could really play. James sounded really drunk and you can see his egomania showing forth. it sounded good, but all I think now was it was a set up to take Cliff's spirit and vision and use it to make them rich and powerful after they sacrificed him. The music business is super dirty. I still don't know how or why they had their first record produced by a couple from the Englishtown Flea Market which is as sleazy and low class as it gets in a state known for corruption and sleaze and pure evil, NJ, when they are from San Francisco, CA. Who set that up, Satan? The Zazullas, what did they know about this or have to do with it all? I get so many Biblical references out of this first album like someone had a pure heart and spirit and was sending a message to the world that these guys capitalized for their own profit. Now they sound pretty awful except for maybe the lead guitarist. To me they look and sound like grandpa karaoke any more especially with that dufus from Infectious Grooves who looks demonic.
Hmm do you think Kirk has lost his style some? The whole band doesn't have the same vibe it used to. Each element is too over the top and not playing and harmonizing off each other.
