Hey man, thanks for doing this. I am thinking about putting one in myself as well. My question is, why did you choose to dig a whole trench vs. getting the ground soaking wet and use a straight shovel the slice down into the earth and pull it apart and drop the line in there? Because that is what i was thinking of doing. I dont really want to dig a while trench and tear up my nice grass. So i think i am gonna make little slits and drop the hose in there, maybe diff some dirt out with my had to make more room for the hose underneath. But i was just curious why you went with the method you did. I'm trying to plan my strategy so i am looking for all thoughts and ideas.

@@cyclonic7134 I wanted to make sure the pipe was deep enough that when I used a core aerator that it wouldn’t puncture the piping. Every time I tried to just use the shovel I couldn’t get the pipe as far down as I wanted it.

@@thegreybeeexperience fair enough. I suppose it would be hard to get very deep without actually digging. That makes sense, thanks!

The black hose has worked great for me. The best part? Instead of hand trenching, just use your edger to cut a slit-trench. Widen it a bit w a flat shovel or other tool. Lay in the black pipe. Then step on either side or use a tamper to close the slit back up. Waaay easier. Just make sure to drain it before the first freeze

These systems make it easy to set up and test above ground before burial. Irrigation makes a huge difference in terms of consistency and convenience...well worth any version of it.

Hello, I have a few questions regarding the installation of the pipe/tubing. Could you please let me know the depth at which the pipe/tubing was buried? Additionally, have you encountered any problems with leakage, breakage, or malfunctioning sprinkler heads? Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
@thegreybeeexperience
@thegreybeeexperience 2 месяца назад
There shouldn’t be any leaking since it’s not under constant pressure. Pipe was as deep as my shovel blade. The heads worked for 3 years until I put in a permanent in-ground system.

I think is better to use one sprinkler per hose to have more pressure and bigger coverage area. Instead of using 4 sprinklers in front of your house,
@thegreybeeexperience
@thegreybeeexperience 3 месяца назад
I actually tried that. It didn’t cover the entire area, and also sprayed my house and the road too much.
@murd777
@murd777 3 месяца назад
@@thegreybeeexperience It will cover the whole area with a 52SA sprinkler. The system kit sprinklers are crap. Get a 4 zone timer and use one sprinkler per zone.

You're the only person on RU-vid who has reviewed this cold plunge with the added Chiller, so thanks for that. Good review. My question is about the Chiller being exposed to the elements. I own the pod and the Chiller pro myself and I currently have an umbrella covering mine. Have you had any issues with the Chiller not being covered?
@thegreybeeexperience
@thegreybeeexperience 3 месяца назад
Thank you! Mine has been out in below freezing temps, 80+ degrees, and severe thunderstorms. Still working just fine. I’ve thought about building a a box to surround it though just to cover it. It does put out a lot of heat from the back so I’d imagine I’d need to leave the box very well vented. Hope that helps!

With this kit and your setup, Do you think you could install 1 maybe 2 more heads without sacrificing much water coverage. This is my only dilemma keeping me from purchasing two of these kits. I’d want to add at least one additional head to each zone. .
@thegreybeeexperience
@thegreybeeexperience 3 месяца назад
Probably depends on your water pressure. You could always DIY it by going with 3/4” poly pipe instead of the 1/2” pipe that comes with the kit. That’ll allow more flow through the pipe and maybe allow you to add an additional head per line. The kit is convenient because it has all the small pieces you need and you don’t have to think about what to buy. Other than that, you could purchase all this stuff and design it however you want.

Just bought one myself and had the same issue with the inflatable ring not inflating to a complete round outer edge. The trick for fixing that is filling the cold plunge up to its entirety so that water is over flowing. Then, ensure your using the hand pump on the intake fitting that has the fitting that does not allow the air to flow back out of the ring. Once you have your hand pump on the “flow valve” you just keep pumping air into the tube until it looks plump and full like that insta chick that just got way too much Botox injections to her lips…you just know when you’ve put enough in 😮😮
@Goodvibes2154
@Goodvibes2154 Месяц назад
not exactly. there are two valves within the same valve. one allows air out and the other allows for pumping. they turn into perfect circles that can fully pump

The inflatable lid goes inside the tub onto the water. You also got to flip the inflatable ring around your tub so it’s more on the outside. That will help the lid get in there easier
