All you need is a tyre jack, rubber mallet, and air compressor (portable will do). we still recommend doing the fitting at the authorised Fitting Centre near your location. Drive safe
We have a separate video on how to prep the alloygator before proceeding for fitment. The metel clips hold the gator from the inner side of the alloy wheels. Have a nice day and drive safely
I thought this was a good investment at first. After a lot of videos on this product, I came to the conclusion there are too many negatives(heasdaches) of this product. PASS!!!
If anyone hits my rim like I will fire them and report that company to BBB . You guys have a grey or white to match my rims ? And how much material I would need to cover a 29"1/2 rim 🤔
Hello, while installation, our technician only hit the alloygators with rubber mallet - we always recommend having your fitment done at authorised Fitting Centres. Drive safe
ive always wondered if i ever remove my tires from the wheels for any reason, would the reinstallation process be the same? Would the glue holding it together be a problem ? Do i just put it on the rim then inflate the tyre to the desired pressure ?
I took my time and installed them exactly as was told here & even hit them like they owed me money. Got a flat 1st time out & had to drive on flat for a while so probably ruined my tire 😠. To heck with protecting my rim! I'm not gonna risk having flat again & being stuck out somewhere. These suckers are coming off for good tonight 👍
your post does not make sense, ok you got a flat, what has that got to do with anything, you change the wheel and take it in, alloygators have NOTHINg to do with flats
@@AdrianJayeOnline Wrong. They go on the bead between the tire and wheel & it is mentioned in the video that it's possible for them to cause a flat 🤷♂️
@@michaeltsatvs6139 so, AG's don't cause flats by themselves. if your wheel profile is not suitable (by the gauge) DON'T USE ALLOYGATORS, incorrect fitment will cause issues, if your wailing on the alloygator THAT is a problem, depending on the tire you sometimes need to BREAK the bead to fit them. AG's COULD cause a slow puncture IF fitted incorrectly, as you where wailing on them, A slow puncture you should always be looking out for, and should be spotted long before it's flat, IF you dont have an airpump in your car, then THAT's your look out. and regardless, didnt ANYONE tell you not to drive on a flat tire. Sorry you get 0/0 on all points... the take away from your sad story, is DONT fit AG's to the wrong rims and dont mis install them have AAA, an air pump and dont drive on flats... see you dont let the door ht ya
@@AdrianJayeOnline the same stories are all over. I’m looking to purchase them now, and you never considered obvious issues. These issues are coming from alligator certified installers and requiring people to refill their tires several times over - some are asking for help to prevent this, others have removed them altogether. Way to play nice, you spent plenty of time taking apart a comment from one perspective and most likely biased, or a lucky fit. I’ll contribute to fixing the issue by adding the rims don’t seem to be the issue, it’s the tires. Many users have the same rims (Tesla Unerturbine wheels) all with different tires, some have had good results but not all
@@Apex8r replying to a year old comment :) LOL I actually went and fitted rimblades, much better than AG's, you can't fit AG's to either of the following 1> run flats 2> Diamond cut rims 3> if the profile is wrong (as by the gauge) I did a lot of reasearch in the year and I'm an active member on many BMW forums. MOST dont put anything on there rims. pop over to my youtube page and see how easy and a great product that RIMBLADES are
Alligators are good for minor damage but it’s very difficult to protect the rims of a 1.5 ton car heading towards a curb with a piece of plastic. In My experience
I have had these. Let me tell you about my experience. Thy look good, and stay on, but are a nightmare when the tyre needs replacing. Also, the waterproof lacquer used on the install, eventually washes away, and water will build up under the alloy gaters which bubbles the trims over time. They also allow water between the trim and tyre, which creates gaps, and in turn has caused me to have to reskim the alloy, so the alloy sits perfectly flat again to allow a tight seal between the tyre and alloy. You will know this as after a time with alloygaters on your car, your tyres will periodically lose air. Finally, most tyre centres will not be able to refit a tyre, if alloygaters are fitted. Suggest you call your local tyre dealer and ask them about the drawbacks before fitting. You have been warned!
Tha is very much mate. Your advice changed my mind too. Wont be going for them. Even a local tyre specialist shop who does all tyre work told me not to get these instead just colour paint them if needed as this he confirmed 100 percent ruins the tyres wheels things get stuck in between. He was 100 percent against it. So after reading your personal feedback here and what the gentleman tyre specialist advised me I won't be going for it. Cheers
I have a '15 Dodge Challenger ( Sublime Green ) with the Classic Chrome 20" Wheels.. What Am I looking at for All 4 wheels, This Is for my Show Car, @Green_Manalishi2015
Definitely a must buy for me. Something so inexpensive for something so expensive and don't forget to hit it like it owes you money. Best phrase I've heard in a long time. Hahaha. Brilliant video. 👍
What a load of absolute shit, I've just spent over an hour trying to remove these FITTED by a previous owner they look hideous and are a nightmare to remove, dont bother
