The backside of Milton actually developed a sting jet signature on radar, and a sting jet was confirmed by ground observations on the backside of the storm. That's very interesting, because sting jets are not associated with hurricanes at all! Instead, sting jets on the backside of a storm are associated with subtropical hybrid storms, or mid-latitude storms. So I don't believe that Milton was technically still a genuine tropical cyclone upon landfall. Milton had rapidly transitioned into more of a hybrid storm by the time of landfall. A hybrid storm can still be an extremely dangerous storm! Hurricane Sandy had transitioned into a hybrid storm just before the storm made landfall in New Jersey, and caused a tremendous amount of storm surge damage.

Most of the people killed by Hurricane Helene, were killed by the storm surge, the deadliest aspect of a hurricane is the storm surge.

Thank you for your comment. That's why when chasing you need to bee very aware of your surroundings even when being inside the car. We only get out of the car when the area up wind is clear without structures or big trees for a big distance and also we make sure of having a close protection near by like big columns or a sturdy building, is a MUST.

Hello how are you today? We saw part of this video when God was at Macdonalds changed the sounds of the atmosphere, God forgave you also he got many souls about of hell that day he told us about this hurricane and the other Helene, he also showed us at the future when the apocalypse happens there's going to be many disasters hurricanes bigger than this one, well I believe he said a few around the world at happening at about the same time there's going to be a meteorite that falls close to Florida and Florida is pretty much under water it's the year 2041 or close around there that's when Jesus Christ returns also the hurricanes might be before that Im not exactly sure people where making noise so I don't remember exactly also in the Bible there's one earth quake that shakes the world I beieve he said has to do with the meteorite falling from the sky judgments from God for people sinning against him then also this hurricane has to do with people not believing in God so he doesn't prevent this disasters from happening he said that he slowed down that hurricane to give more time to people so they could leave or be more prepared for that.

Great job guys. It's hard to appreciate the power of one of these storms without videos like this. You followed it from west to east Florida. I was near the middle. We got power back Saturday afternoon, we were lucky. I fell off a roof Saturday cleaning debris and broke my back. I will be fine, but I want people to realize just how dangerous these storms are during and after. Be safe people.

Helene re located a whole beach to its taste, not to mention how far in land it struck and the rest of the damages. With Milton on its way, is anyone thinking at all that, MAYBE, building on a huge chunk of sand was not exactly the best idea? Like...more than 300 years have passed, no one ever considered that hurricanes will always come and leaving those area would be wise?
