Growing up in the fifties our tree always had tinsel (icicles). So pretty, but the tinsel stuck to our fingers and when we walked by the tree the static made the tinsel stick to our clothes! 😂
Thought to search for "vintage Christmas house" to see a nicely decorated home. I haven't felt true Xmas magic since I was a kid. Been stuck in an apartment for the longest time and just never feel motivated to properly decorate. Hoping some day to feel the magic again.
I miss tinsel😕. But I love my kitties.🥰 The two just weren't a safe option anymore. Litter boxes shouldn't have sparkle bits.😶 This tinsel laden tree is just marvelous!✨️🎄✨️🎄✨️
Your Christmas tree, shimmering with metalic ice cycles, so reminds me of my Christmas celebrations when my mom and dad, brother and sister were still alive. It brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for those joyous memories of long ago.
Always loved the these decorations and everything since I was a kid, Now that I'm older I love them even more, They bring back such wonderful memories and sadly Christmas ornaments today aren't the same. Just something that makes it truly magical and special about vintage Christmas stuff. I miss that
I confess, I also am a early to mid century Christmas Hoarder as well, particularly Noma, Mirostar, Paramount, Radko, etc - totes and racks to the ceiling in the basement - its ok, could be into a lot worse - thanks for sharing
I love your collection. I also collect vintage Christmas however I’m in Scotland U.K. and our Christmas decorations differ a bit (I have a set of 1950s British made bubble lights but these are very rare - no one in the U.K. has ever heard of them but they seem to be very common in the states). It’s interesting seeing how you guys do it over there. The basics are the same though, vintage Christmas is all about nostalgia, cosiness, warmth etc. Your house is magical
Your vintage and antique decor is amazing! It's hard to pick my favorite but I think I like your tower tree the best because of all the tinsel. What a labor of love!
I love this Christmas House Tour so much. It reminds me of when I was little. I was born in the 50's and almost all of the things you have are from that era. Thank you so much for allowing us into your beautiful home.
As I look this beautiful tour I understand what's wrong with my holiday decor... it's the fact it's not reminding me my childhood. But your video yes... and what a magical home by the way.... wonderfull
This is absolutely beautiful , I love Christmas. Can I ask you where did you get your Budweiser Horses and Carriage with the Christmas tree , it’s the most beautiful decorations I’ve seen in a long time. I hope you can help me 🤗🤗🤗
It’s not a Budweiser carriage but I get how it would look that way. It’s a cast iron set I picked up at an antique store and I’ve seen a lot of them since. It’s one of my more common items and not to hard to find. If you frequent antique stores you’re bound to run into one eventually. Thanks for the comment!
