Are you people kidding me? The creator has no obligation to tell you the stretch of river they are fishing. He says new river in the title. Study maps or books on kayaking the new, use Google earth, or better yet take a drive and find access points. BUT DONT ASK FOR SPOTS; That's just lazy and rude.
Man I’m in Burlington NC ! Just got heavy into bass fishing March 30th , soo far my biggest bass was 6.2 , let’s get together and rip some lips sometime!!
Poor video.Should state where you are fishing to begin with..plus your fish is handling skills leaves a lot to be desired. I kept thinking any minute you were going to get a hook in your foot or hand. Beautiful scenery though and lots of fish.
Kind of rude criticizing the creator. BTW he has no obligation to say what stretch of river they are fishing. It says New River in the title, so go study a map or Google earth to find access points. Do your own homework.
I actully live 10 minutes from sevierville have my whole life what you had with the trucks is just local boys doing what we’ve done for years but nice fish
great video, that route in summer is very good, I have never fished new river that early, but we are all anxious at that time to get in and wet a line...good luck in near future!
James can you tell me where yoy put in? I live her in Raleigh I have akayka fishing buddy come down in the spring wants to small mouth fish. Great video by the way not just the glamore shots. Real fishing real conditions..
Great narratives and narration in your vids. I started my smallmouth tenure around Blacksburg when I was at ViTech. I've noticed the hat and was wondering if you ever fish up that way? I used to drive down to McCoy Falls on the odd morning I didn't have class. Had some wonderful times there. Quite a few 40 fish days.
Lived here all my life, been through that section while in a canoe had to get on my knees to do it. Luckily I made it. Don't feel bad it happens a lot more than you think through in that section. A buddy of mine owns property just below that section, and he will sit there during the summer and catch kayaks, paddles, poles coolers etc. Everyone glad to see him, and getting their stuff back. For me and my kayak I will portage to the right. One of my favorite sections to fish. Beautiful water. Not to disclose this area, but only live about 5 mins from you took out. If you can stand cold weather I know of a place not far from there with awesome smallies ranging around 16" to 19" fairly common. There again it's cold then lol.
Great day on the river, James! Love those smallmouth so much. Your footage, editing, and audio are spot on! So well done. Do you use an external microphone for your fishing audio?
What's up, bud?! I recognize someone in that video! Let's meet up and go fishing this fall! Claytor, Belew's, Smith Mountain, wanting to do some multi-day floats on the river!
All the biggest river smallmouth ive caught have been when the rivers high and often real high and muddy. Its just super tough, youll only get a couple bites if youre lucky but theyre always big bites. Sucks because often you arent ready for it
