Life’s second act won’t be in a rocking chair watching the world 🌎 go by, there’s still so much to do! Traveling, concerts, crafting, cooking, gardening etc
Come along on the journey as I use my planner to plan all of life's adventures and let’s cheer each other on along the way.
Cute little phone stand. Your family knows you well! Looks like you had a nice Christmas! I love the story about your husband. We will be waiting to see some of those old photos you dig up.
Hi! Just happened upon your channel, first time viewer! We decorated over Thanksgiving weekend, mostly because that is when we have time. It is so much work! But it brings so much joy. However, we started decorating outside the week of Halloween. Mostly because it gets pretty cold and wet here and its easier to do some of the work before it gets too cold. We just leave the lights off until AFTER Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing your talent with us! I love poinsettias! I think monthlys are hard to decorate because the space is small and I use my monthly a lot. Loved watching yours.
Thank you so much for your kind comments and for watching! Yes putting up all the decorations is a lot of work, that’s why I like to put up my decorations around Thanksgiving as well, more time to enjoy them. 🎄 You’re right, monthly’s are hard. 😆 I hope you subscribed to my channel! Feel free to leave me a comment any time. I love chatting and hearing everyone’s thoughts.
If you're not trying to break the bank on the charcuterie board, go to Aldi's they have a whole end of things, crackers, nuts, jellies, prosciutto, salami, cheeses, etc.
Great layout! It's very cute . I've been buying the black cold brew coffee. It's great in a pinch when I don't have time to make coffee and I'm running off to work..
Thank you 😊 The funny thing is, the other day I actually was looking at different cold brew and thinking to myself I bet it would taste good with creamer added to it but that was the day they didn’t have any of my creamer in stock and I just can’t drink coffee without creamer in it. So I didn’t buy it. Now I wish I did. Of course today it’s in the low 50’s and I could use the hot coffee! 😩
Yes! Makes me want to just sit by a fire 🔥 and look at the Christmas lights on the tree 🌲 and chill. But unfortunately I must go grocery 😫, the thing I hate to do the most.
Yes there is that version as well which is currently playing over and over again in my head. Unfortunately it’s the same main chorus playing over and over again in my head. 🤪 But when I was filming the video I was hearing the Gene Autry version in my head. Which is the version of the song that was in the movie Sleepless In Seattle. But that version has been replaced in my head with Steven Tyler now. Lol 😂
Hi Tracy! It is a Creative Memories personal trimmer. I just looked on the Creative Memories website and the one they currently sell is just a little different than the one I have, but basically it’s the same. The website says it’s in stock and it’s $26.50. I’m not affiliated with them, but I do love their products. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching my video. 😁
While out the other day I browsed through planners, specifically the Happy Planners.. Found an amazing one, unlike any other planner I've ever had. Clean, simple, with space to write and create without overflowing into other days. Thank you for introducing me to them. My current one is 18 months, but I'm going to switch over in January. Your videos, such as this one, have been very helpful. The pages look great and have plenty of room left to write. As a veteran myself, married to a veteran, and hailing from a family where both men and women served/serve, thank you for your lovely thoughts. They are always appreciated.
You made my day! I'm so glad that my videos have been helpful! Also, please let me extend my appreciation to you and your family for your service! Thank you so much! I hope you are enjoying this holiday weekend. God Bless Our Vets!
The page turned out great, but you're a perfectionist, so it's no wonder. Never occurred to use my label maker, but I love the idea. Also, I checked out some sticker books, but was shocked at the cost, so have been thinking of making some of my own. I have a Silhouette that I've used for a lot of things, but never for stickers. How hard can it be, right? Thank you for sharing and keeping me on track.
Thank you! I can't believe I never thought about using my label maker before either. lol But now it is going to be a game changer for me. As far as the sticker books, yes they can be quite expensive. I have several shop with me videos that I show how I get them much cheaper. Sometimes with sales, coupons or the best way is checking the stores clearance section. I find great deals and mark downs at Joann Fabric. I haven't made my own stickers yet, please let me know how it goes for you. I'm so glad you are back on track with your planner! So exciting.
It’s 28• here in Maine right now 🥶 at 9:38pm. I’m sure it’ll drop down at 20• of so over night. The cold makes my bones ache something fierce I tell ya. Beautiful page!
Thank you and Yikes! That’s cold 🥶! It’s 10:40 pm now and 73 degrees outside. It was cooler the last couple of days but it warmed up a little today. Did the peak of fall already hit in Maine? I so desperately want to go see the change of seasons. It’s on my bucket list for next year and I plan to go up to the New England states when I do. 🍁🍂 Thanks watching my video. I really appreciate it. 😊
Congratulations on the weight loss. It's a wonderful accomplishment and I'm sure you feel so much better for having seen the challenge through. Purple is a nice Autumn color. They probably didn't want to drown you in brown and golden colors. I like the first top, color and length is great and just noticed the buttons on the front. Same with the second. Both t-shirts are great in color, nice fit (not tight), collar is flattering. I like the color of the hoodie, but I'm a fan of all shades of green. I live in the desert area of California and I do have some light hoodies that I wear at home on cool (sometimes cold) days. I would keep it, as it fits well, color looks good on you, and it's light so no overheating. I HATE shopping with a passion, so this is intriguing. Thank you for introducing me to a new option. I'm going to check it out.
Thank you 😊 I really like the first one a lot too. This whole box was actually really good. I’m seriously leaning towards getting it all. With the 25% discount it’s like they are paying me $10 to keep the sweatshirt and I’m sure I’ll wear it occasionally. I’m sure it definitely gets much cooler in the desert than it does in South Florida! 😁 In 2019 we were in CA for 4 days in November and it did get pretty cool. If you have any questions about Stitch Fix let me know. I’ll be glad to answer them for you. 😁
@@Holdonandenjoytheride I did it! I signed up. You were spot on about all the questions, but I am hopeful. Will let you know how my first shipment works out.
@@sueweldgen4584 I just realized that I forgot to report as promised. I am loving Stitch Fix. I kept everything in my first shipment and exchanged one item for a smaller size in my second. It's so wonderful having new items that fit well and express who I am without wasting time shopping! Looking forward to my next box the end of this month and I want to say thank you -- I owe this peace of mind and happiness to you! Blessings!
This was cool. I pulled out my beautiful planner I haven't looked at in a couple of months and followed along with you. You may just get me back into it since my planner runs through June 2024. As for Black Friday, my best friend and I have a tradition of Saturday window shopping and a long fabulous lunch. Halloween we have always been the worst house -- no decorations, and lights out as we watch a scary movie and eat pizza. Thank you for sharing! 👻
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Yeah, I’m so happy that I inspired you to get your planner back out again! I find it therapeutic to sit and work on mine. Shopping and lunch with a friend is the best. That is awesome that you get to do that with her! LOL 😂 You gave me a chuckle about how you said you spend Halloween with the lights out. 🎃 Enjoy your movie and have a slice of pizza for me this year, as I’ll be outside fighting the mosquitoes while handing out treats here in South Florida. 🤪
@@michelecase7192 that’s pretty much what I do the last several years as well. I did used to enjoy the shopping but I’m also talking about back in like 2000. So it’s been a very long time. 😆
Thanks 😊 My husband and my mom will want to go by your house to get some candy! 🤣 They are not happy with me not buying it this year. 🤷🏼♀️ I just hope the kids will like what I did get. Thanks for your input. 😁
Growing up, I loved my planner and would never have thought anything would change with time. Unfortunately, the phone became easier to use for work purposes. I have tried a handful of times to get back to a paper planner -- was even gifted a lovely one for Christmas last year -- but I find myself sticking to it for six months at the most. Still, I love looking at planner items, and my creative doodles and coloring are utilized in my cardmaking. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing!! I totally get what you’re saying. I used to be the same way with planners for years, I’d keep it up for a few months then slack off of it until I started decorative planning. It combined my need to be organized with getting to do something creative. I love it! I’m so glad you have your card making for your creative outlet. 😊
I was at the Ontario Ca Expo this past Saturday and although it was smaller (39 vendors), I was extremely pleased with the quality of products represented and presented at all the booths. When it was much larger, I felt as if I was at a flea market, with a lot of trinkets and cheap items, many that looked yellowed by age and handled a lot, being sold for cheap. This year was a welcomed change, and there were a few new big name vendors present for the first time. Teresa Collins was there with her lovely products, Lynda of I-crafter was very sweet and had an insane 70% off sale on all of her great products, and a handful of other vendors had 20% and 30% off products which was previously unheard of. Some great vendors were not there, such as The PaperCut, but Rubbernecker Stamps did an amazing job of representing them with all the paper products many of us had grown to love. I was pretty happy and left with a lighter wallet, but all the good feels, and an optimistic view of next year's possibilities.
Sounds like you had an awesome time at your expo. 😁 The one I went to in Orlando was smaller than I remembered from years prior and there were a few vendors I wish would of been there, however, you made me realize something in your comment. Just like you I left the expo with my wallet a lot lighter as well 😂, so it’s definitely a good thing it wasn’t larger than it was with more items to tempt me into buying. lol Otherwise I might of needed to take out a loan. I’m joking of course. 🤣 Thanks for watching my video and leaving me a comment. I truly appreciate it.
Have you tried the Happy Planner dupes that they have at Dollar Tree? They have a few different booklets and they’re not bad at all. Some of the pages are almost identical to the older HP books! They’re thicker stickers & you have to use a permanent ink to write on them but you can still make a cute spread 😊❤ Hey for $1.25 a book 🤷🏼♀️ Last year I was lucky and found 2 REAL Happy Planner Seasonal Sticker Books!! At the Dollar Tree for $1.25! I was freaking out lol😂
No I haven’t tried them yet, I’ll have to check it out next time I’m at a Dollar Tree. Amazing find with the HP $1.25 sticker books! Wow! Now that’s a wonderful way to bargain shop to do decorative planning! 👏🏻
I have the hardest time using the HP stencil templates. They’re so darn slippery on the page. I’ve had better luck with them if I tape it down with some washi. Makes my spread take longer to create but at least it’s not sliding all over 😆
It makes me feel better to know it’s not just me! 😂 After I filmed the video and was editing it I said to myself, you should of taped it down. 🤦🏼♀️ Glad to hear that the washi works for you, I’ll definitely try it next time. Have a great weekend! 😁
New subby here - I love seeing what people pick up at their local expos. I am in Toronto, ON, and we have Scrapfest once a year - it is not bad but is really small compared with what I see in the States! Happy scrapping xoxo Vicky
Thanks for subbing and I subscribed to your channel as well. 😁 I love scrapbooking and wish I could go to more expos. Back in 2006 I went to a huge one in Chicago. It had all the big named companies and vendors. Lots of new products and tutorials. I was in heaven! I would love to do that again one day.
