Is removing this trim piece required in order to get the wheel liner out? I might need to remove the wheel liner on the front to hammer the pinch weld down some in order to clear bigger and wider tires when I get them.
Any issues with bubbles? I had mine car done 2 - 3 weeks ago with FlexiShield and got multiple bubbles. Even after being out in the 110 degree heat of Arizona, still there. Will be taking the car back in for a follow up to address.
Replaced the passenger side mirror on my Model X today. The inflatable air wedge was extremely useful although in my case, some clips still broke, which is mostly a Tesla issue on the quality of parts they use. Although video could be better, it was good enough to follow and get the job done. Thanks for posting it.
hey JD, great work as always! how do you go about removing the side cover reflecting taillights? hope that make sense. mainly looking to remove the passenger side.
Great video. I am about to replace my own front bumper that got scratched and cracked. Did you have to go into service mode or disconnect the 12 volt battery? If you unplug the sensors, do you have to rescan through the service mode screen? thanks
Great video. I wrapped my car in Vivid the first time in Matte mustard yellow. I think it came out good for my first time. I did have alittle difficulty being my first time. The vinyl did seem kinda thick. I’m gonna redo it because of some rookie mistakes and my top is fading. I live in Texas. Everything else came out well. I assume choosing 3M, Avery, or KPMF (matte sonic yellow pearl most likely) , it will be a much easier install. Would you agree those are easier to work with than Vivid matte?
The front of the car truly looks beautiful. You do fantastic work. I didn't realize, though, that wraps had such a short life. Since I live in Ahwatukee not far from you, I can appreciate the harsh conditions in the desert. I just bought a 2023 Tesla a few weeks ago and was thinking of getting a wrap so it is a bit discouraging to see this. I'm on the good extreme of what you described, so maybe a wrap would last a bit longer for me. Anyway, thanks for the video. It was very informative.
