Avatar by www.youtube.com/@LightMelodyVA Banner by www.youtube.com/@SpeedTheDragon9 Hi, I'm Lucy! Here, we discuss older and mostly obscure games that are usually based on cartoons such as SpongeBob. The videos are typically filled with jokes and can get a little goofy sometimes, but I hope you enjoy them!
I recently went back to play a few of these games and one that I remembered very fondly was Ship O' Ghouls. It ended being significantly harder to mash than I remembered it being, but I never noticed the candy that sometimes appears on the screen. I wasn't expecting a jumpscare in a SpongeBob game, so safe to say I was very startled lol
as someone who recently got a hold of these games again, I think you actually missed a couple, but it's absolutely understandable why; one was a Polar Golfer sequel, and one seems to have just been brought in by relation and I don't know how much it actually linked to the rest. Polar Golfer: Pineapple Cup, the first one, is a second course for the Polar Golfer gameplay style that I admittedly haven't played, but the clip in this video of the polar bear in a pineapple shirt is where that footage was from. Penguins!, the second, is a fairly solid Lemmings clone featuring penguins and a zookeeper, since you're at a zoo trying to get out of your exhibit (as far as I remember). these were bundled with Bowler, Golfer, Tubing, and Pool on one disc called Polar Sports Ice Pack, and I'm still not sure why Penguins! was included, but to my memory the penguin that shows up on Polar Pool's first table is the style of penguin you coach around in Penguins!, so maybe that's a part of it?
The one web game that I remember playing a lot was the pixelated one on Hasbro’s website where you played as the main 6 and had to platform through different sections. There were bosses at the end (If I remember correctly). There was a sequel where it was the same thing but instead of the mane 6, you played as different characters (Zecora, Big Macintosh, Spitfire…) I remember those games being a lot of fun. And of course, there’s the mobile game. I still play it to this day. I just can’t believe that it’s still here.
Ok twovthibgs about that tiwer defebce gane pickly flicker is a...questionable name and two they reallyblove tgst squidward face i swear irs in 90% spongebob of flash games
Poop Deck Draw Down never failed to completely destroy me since I never understood the gameplay. I love the screams they use for it when you lose (Mr. Krabs uses his scream when he hits his foot on a rock in Sailor's Mouth). Boo or Boom had the most hardcore Flash game songs around, I actually listen to it on loop occasionally.
I just came across this video on my recommended two years later. I grew up playing this game, and it was one of my favorites. I always liked this game as well as Spongebob Employee of the Month. A lot of nostalgic memories with those games
Oh my God, The Game Builder! I used to play the hell out of that when I was a kid. Until now, I completely forgot about it! I really hope someone can recover that game, I'd love to play it again!
Operation Trick or Treat is just a re-skin of a previous year's halloween game, I believe it was called Trick or Treat Beat or something of that sort, it included a bunch of different CN stars like Dexter, the Edds, Courage and Johnny Bravo, IIRC
I always found Squidward to be the easiest by far, even as a kid. Once you get a single punch in, just alternate between punch and dodge and be ready for the super moves, and he's completely free. In Champ Mode it's a little harder, mainly because of the additional insane super move Squidward has, but it's still pretty simple
Watching this entire SpongeBob playlist of yours, I’m rediscovering all of my childhood gaming memories, and the minute I saw this game come up, I almost screamed in joy. I can now find these games again and replay them for my own entertainment, memories locked behind my child-mind. Basically, thank you for helping me find my childhood again. I appreciate it more than you could know.
I had the 2006 version, and used to play for hours on end, just jamming out to the music and struggling to get past the second restaurant. Good memories, man. Good times. :)
I played this game for HOURS as a kid, just running around and listening to the funny music. I didn’t even know there were special moves; I would just run around and use the basic attack. So glad that this game turned out to not be only a fever dream for me! :)
Im probably the only one to say this but i find it odd that on the title covers of some nick stars sports games they would include the pink and red power rangers but they never show up in the actual game ( soccer stars, basketball stars 3 and some others are exceptions)
The gameplay for the first surfing game promoting The Big One special definitely reminds me of the Catching Waves minigame from Club Penguin. And coincidentally, I remember hearing the music from Hot Sand Hustle in one of those old Club Penguin parties.
You can tell that Burger Bonanza is an Australian game because they insist you put egg, pineapple and bacon on the Krabby Patty. All they need now is the beetroot and it'll truly have the lot. Though I promise we usually cut the pineapple into slices first.
Will you talk about the SpongeBob Cartoon Creator in the future? The old one, where you could animate the characters? It's lost media too. I think it came out in 2009 or 2010. If you want, I could also send you a message somewhere with a photo of an old Nickelodeon magazine page that talked about it.
I loved that SpongeBob game builder so much. I would spend hours on it, making my own levels and playing others. I genuinely miss that era of Nick’s site
