I started LeadSolo.com to teach rock guitar solos back in 2007. I cover solos, because I believe, it is in artistic solo expression, not repetitive musical scales, that you really learn to make the guitar "speak" with catchy phrases, emotion and expression. It was in learning songs and solos by ear, that I self-taught myself lead guitar. And I in no way have perfect pitch! Far from it! Anyway, hope you enjoy my channel. You can read more about my approach and get online lessons showing more detail on these guitar solos at my website LEADSOLO.COM. Just click the link below. And thanks for watching!
Just found your videos dissecting the Thomasson and Jones solos from Green Grass. Hat’s off. Brilliant. Took me back to Wollman Rink Central Park NYC 1975-still the greatest rock and roll show I’ve ever seen. Thanks for making my night. 🙏
So funny you just did this so recently as I just out of the blue just searched specifically for this solo. Could you please, please show the first solo as well? Either way, thanks so much for this.
Great video. Funny, I don't actually think of this passage as a solo as such, more a kind of fancy rhythm playing. A lot of fast licks instead of chords or riffs, but ultimately just laying down a solid musical rhythm.
Not many people know about this song and group. I was at the right place at the right time. Ohio late 60s.!?!? Great times. Your mother was a Gibson Your father was a Fender That's why they call me Mindbender.!?!? 😂😅😊😂😅😊
