Founded in 1885, Hughes Hall is the oldest graduate college in the University of Cambridge. Today the College welcomes applications from postgraduate and mature undergraduates (over 21) for all subjects. Two-thirds of our students come from outside the UK, and our alumni represent over 70 nationalities.
Hughes Hall has a particular interest in areas where academic study impacts the wider world, notably education, law, business, biomedicine and engineering. We also welcome students on the full range of Cambridge University courses, enjoying the academic diversity and the many opportunities for learning from other disciplines.
Located on a fine site overlooking the University cricket ground, between the heart of Cambridge and the train station, Hughes Hall provides good accommodation and food, and a lively, friendly, cosmopolitan environment for study.
Pumping the international aspect is a bit of stale virtue signalling. Virtually every UK uni and organisation is the same and has been ever since mass global mobility began.
Well said indeed sir, and very wise words to those that would listen, it is a crying shame that this was not implemented in my infant days for others and myself to benefit from, and so what you speak of is truly in the nature of teaching and helping those less fortunate than ourselves or should I say inaccurately educated, in order for a person to truly thrive in the life that immediately surrounds oneself and to progress to the next level, one needs to be taught by someone like you, I cannot believe that this subject is so underdiscussed, apologies for being two years late with my comments.
Hi, I played in the band at the mayball in your video. Would you be able to share whatever video footage you have of us? We have limited recording of the band playing so would be very helpful.
