Great shout, next play session is getting a dummy recorded for this exact matchup, with punishes accounted for - my punish combos tend to be quite infrequent save for HK Punish Counter crump, a DI breaking through projectile and landing, or a whiffed wakeup reversal, each of which are quite easy, but far from ideal to wait around for - would be a good move to have two like you said, but for ordinary instances of them whiffing say, a HP or spammed jabs - did not think once of running my punish game on them, they walked away with it now that you've pointed this aspect of play out - thanks, World Warrior!
That's very precise insight - I recognise that my overall standard of play seems less influenced by good, targeted content about my main recently - I reckon I lost focus about a month ago, hence my stagnation in ranked. It'll pass once I begin playing more studiously, like I was the first time I got 1000+ views. Thanks for the appraisal, your peers agree, so we're onto something I can fix at least.
These are very valuable insights - I've been in a strange zone these past few weeks, and I'm not sure how much of my behaviour here comes from distracted play, or the opponent also behaving unusually. I think I'll continue to upload fights like this one, but the naming conventions for the videos are very 'bedroom' - I edit and upload rather quickly between rounds, often with a spectator on stream. Garbage uploads are garbage uploads, so I reckon I'll analyse the less coherent fights like this one next time before making up a title. Thanks for watching 🤘
@@VENAXISI love this being corroborated - I believe you both, and this is actually quite motivating! Nothing corrects a spate of poor gameplay more than peer-review.
Scaring lol, with nothing else than being an illogical unsafe moron doing the most stupid decisions to the point where that mere bottomless idiotism has no counterplay, because there isn't mindgames when one is mindless.
Forgot to reply! You're dead right, this game looks BIZZARRE to me now. I'm one of those dudes that genuinely finishes the combo trials in this game relatively easily, and I've had stretches of very solid play in the last few months, but those were very focused and resourced, so I've no excuse here. I lab quite a lot, but I realise that haven't had the same Dummy configurations or 'regimen' set up for a few weeks - I had a setup that really kept me sharp between matchmaking, and had better conditions to create combos, but it was complicated to recreate - accidentally erased it from Slot 1, was too lazy to reinstate it, and now my audience is beginning to notice a backslide. I've worked on three new combo routes since, so here's to getting back on track 💪
Tip: practice your anti airs and punish combos. im sure you could have won if all jamies jump ins were anti aired and if all his drive impacts were countered. (Also BLOCK LOW) but not bad for gold 👍👍👍👍
Thanks, I used to be platinum before I backslid a week or two ago 😅 I have been playing worse lately just on personal stress, so I'll simply play more that I have been 💪
@@sougon72 I did some offline lab to make up for my recent lack of practise (I'm a 350 hour Ranked only player) to get back to it, definitely on the way to getting past Platinum if I just lock-in like I did a month or two ago - More lab, same number of fights and we're back 💪
For sure man, I'm a player who gets great benefit from a 5 day streak of restful days and lab before the best locked-in magic happens - I'll backslide as nature dictates, but I reckon there's going to be a FANTASTIC journey in the coming years (seriously) for me - love this shit, and you are a World Warrior to point it out 💪 Next JP is getting a BnB, and we're naming it the Formless.
You need to train with someone. It helps a lot. If you would like help add cold and ugly we can just play sets. It’s probably one of the best ways to rank up
Great shout, World Warrior! I currently play training sets against two very capable players, both were met and added on stream. One of them is 5x Master rank and coached me into playing far, far more slowly, and the other has me in lobby queues with Plats + Diamonds. It worked! It's going very well when I put the time in, so I'll always be open to this offer! Adding you now.
I’ll be on tonight, I was trying to stay away until the new update but I’ll get on to play some rounds. I play sim I can help you with this matchup so that you basically never lose it unless they absolutely know the game.
That Ed likes to wake up with Drive Impact... a lot. Slow them down by throwing. It beats Drive Impact on wakeup. And it'll likely happen in future matches.
Oh, hey World Warrior! You are the first to give me outright analysis/ advice in the comments. Thanks for taking the time, it's a real zoo out there. I hit Platinum today and put the controller down. I'll be implementing your advice, no doubt it'll feature down the line. I'll nickname the clobbering throw I land on wakeup DI's the 'HalfMind' in your honour 💪
Thank you, World Warrior. I reached Platinum the other day, and now there's a trickle of good-natured comments like these coming in. See you on the climb! 🪜
