Thanks so much. I also have a pretty severe deviation which has caused intense migraines for 3 years. The CT scan showed that my septum is pushing against the bottom and inside of my right eye and pressing against nerves. I'm hoping this will solve the problem. It sounds like a piece of cake. Thanks
I had it done 6 days ago and my nose is fine unless you touch it then its sore like inside, but my breathing is still like it was b4 (stuffy) should I be worried or give it more time?
Everything is fine... No problems whatsoever... Never had any bruising really... Just make sure you do some googling on your surgeon... Look for anyone whose had bad experiences... The right surgeon makes ALL the difference...
Greg,my husband and I just watched your video after your septum surgery. My husband is going on 66 and his was broken in high school! He has suffered for years with one side of his nose closing off. Years ago the surgery they did would cause severe bruising all over the face, but you don't seem to have that. How are things now with your breathing? My husband is having more and more trouble with congestion and is about ready to consider the surgery. 4/7/13
Your Amazing ! Thank You so much --i am haveing the Surgery on Friday march 1st ....i was scard to death until i found your video...thanks again for makeing this easy for me !! Sincerely Ron DiCenzo
Perfect ! Would reccomend this to anyone with a deviated septum... I have zero issues and can breathe perfectly and I also get sinusitus way less often... 1 or 2 times a year instead of every other month...
Just wanted to follow up one day after surgery. Pain was very tolerable and could best be described as feeling intensely cold upon waking. There will be lot of blood but this is normal. Bleeding continued to be heavy up the first day. By the following day it had all but stopped and I have had no real increase in pain. Mild headache from not being able to breath though my nose due to swelling. Much like a sinus cold.
Thanks for taking the time to create the informative video. I undergo this procedure tomorrow. Little nervous but not too much now that I have seen your video. Looking forward to being able to breath though the left side of my nose for the first time ever.
I am suffering with the same. Just had a consultation today after having a scan done a few weeks back. One of my nostrils is pretty much closed due to a deviated septum, now waiting to hear back about a date for the surgery, this video has really put my mind at rest. I'm hoping that I will be able to breath better, smell better and taste foods that I can barely taste now!
I've had the septoplasty and the UPPP surgical procedure done at the same time. Everyone's pain tolerance levels are different. I have a high tolerance level so I was able to endure the pain without pain meds. Having a UPPP is the worse pain ever, and a septoplasty can be very painful but lucky for me there was no pain. With the UPPP i was sucking on popsicles all day and italian ice. No ice cream, you shouldn't have ice cream. The above numbs the throat. Hopefully septoplasty will take.
i have a deviated septem and it is causing to have server sleep apnea only one of my nostrils work and it switches during the day i'm scared and would appreciate honest and humble feed back please
I just got this done today & my throat is very sore from the breathing tube, but other than that, there is no pain. My nose has not been bleeding a lot after the first 6 hour, so I'm guessing that's a good thing.
thanks soooooo much man! im going in in 9 hours and i was super scared but this relaxed me, now just stoked to get it done, its gonna suck cause its during spring break but fuck it hahaha thanks so much!
Dang. I wish I had your doc. I am going twice to get mine done. I just went on thursday and had a inferior turbinate reduction done on the right side and have been bleeding non stop for the past two days and feel like crap and i will get the same thing done on my left side plus my deviated septum fixed along with it. After watching all these videos on here it seems to me that your doctor has alot to do with it as far as what procedure they use and how well a persons body can take it thx for vid
Did you have any issues with scar tissue? I've been told I need sinus surgery along with surgery to a deviated septum. The feedback I've gotten from others about scarring and the sinuses becoming worse after surgery ae me gun shy.
I had my surgey on Monday and it very well today is Thursday and a little pain trying not to take pain pills. it will help to have lots to drink after because of the increased breathing thru my mouth my throat dries out more.
ahaha i love how he has a huge glass of water with a straw in it..if its his, this guy is an idiot! the first thing they told me was not to drink thru a straw!! ahah
I had my surgery a month ago, July 7, 2011, at Seminole Hospital in Longwood, FL. I also had my tonsils and uvula removed and my soft palate raised. My nasal surgery was great and my breathing is perfect. I had the sponges removed after 4 days and used a nasal rinse twice a week for two weeks. Your experience was the same as mine. I want to encourage everybody that needs this surgery to get it.
I had it done on a thursday and was back at work on tues of the next week... The pain did get a little worse the 2nd or 3rd days (after this video was made) but was definitely tolerable... Just sleep alot and you will be fine. 2 weeks is way too long ! Your nose will feel 'odd' for a couple months and gradually taper off...
how long until u can bend over.... i just got it done this morning... also how long till you went back to work... they say about 2 weeks.... but im just wondering about ur experience with it........ thank you....
