I'm going to sell it, I'll probably sell it, I might sell it, I'm going to show it, I'm going to keep it, its, now the priority...... don't want to say I told you all along, but....... You owe me a pint - Great news..
Yeh I never wanted to sell it. But I am 52 years old with a 30 year mortgage. It was a way to pay my house out quicker. I have come up with a different option which means I don’t have to sell
Don't know if you can stream this, or if you have even seen this, but there is an episode of Car SOS, season 4, episode 2 which I think you will find interesting. Take care and keep up the good work.
Good luck with all your plans! I'd like to see a detailed video when you work on the roof, specifically that small hole, got the same thing going on my 71. Cheers
Enjoyed the update!! Love the logo and intro bit!!! The bobber style bike would look awesome!! Also did I spot like a oil change/ basement area in your shop that had the 2 Datsuns looked like it had boards across it. Cheers mate! May the algorithm be with ya!!
Thanx mate. Oil change basement? Is that what you call them in America? We just call them a pit. Or an inspection pit. Yeh it’s about 5ft deep. It comes in handy But would prefer a hoist
It’s funny this video pops up when I’m not far off attacked a dent in the roof of my sunny, myself. Haven’t done any body work like that since the coach building days.
Sorry I am not sure what you mean? I bought the head unit from a physical walk in store. I bought all the plug and play wiring harness from the same store. The store is called autobarn.
just fix the rust properly, metal works not that hard on old girls like this and neither is making sure the suspension and safety equipments all up to spec. Dont think about yourself, think about other road users that have to share a lane with your potentially unsafe rotting 50 year old datsun because you were too lazy from walk in rego to get it sorted. When i restored my car i was upset about not having walk in rego too but its better for everyone and its not that bad to just get it checked off.
The main reason I wanted to get it registered is to get it in my name before it comes of the road for up to 5 years for a full rotisserie resto mod It is currently mechanically A1 And most of the rust is not structural. I wasn’t planing on daily driving it. I would have driven it around the block once and then put it in the workshop for restoration. I actually restore cars as a business and take pride in the quality of my builds
@@zedl28et so just pass it through rego later if youre doing the long haul thing, i didnt have mine in my name for two years until it was ready and it didnt make any difference to the question of ownership, you probably have the receipt of sale anyway so youre all good
That is the plan now. I am not stressing about it. It would just have been nice to get it in my name now and to give it a quick lap around the block before it all begins. I have been building my 240z for 10 years and I have never driven it off my property. It never had a motor when I first bought it. It has only been running with a motor for the last 6 months
Yeh I haven’t used music for a while. I am a musician and I used to write my own music for my videos. I had 30 tracks saved on iTunes but iTunes lost them all and I didn’t have them backed up. I just haven’t had time to write new music. I bit the bullet and used RU-vids music library. Who do you use for your music?
I contacted them again and apparently even though this is a one owner car with matching engine number, the last two numbers of the engine number are not recorded in their system.
It's just an I'd inspection ,last valiant I took down had no windows , rust all over , just explained wanted in my name before throwing money at it , police were fine !
I rang the police station they said it’s a 50% chance they could put a defect on it. I would rather not risk having to take it through regency if they do defect It
Hillclimbs are fun. My first was in my fresh rebuild of me datto, hadn't had a proper steering alignment. Seemed ok on the road, but a bit scary going up the hill! I'm interested to see how the Z fix up turns out, good I'm sure
I guess any thing is for sale at a price. For now though I am looking forward to the build. I will most likely sell it when it’s done to move on to another project
Gotta be frustrating Even worse, I have a perfect 72 roof skin in the attic Freight from Texas would have been insane even way back at the first on the build Hang in there!
It does look good, and a nice exhaust note too. I know where you're coming from, it's gotta be right, especially if it'll be a showcase for your business. That "oil can" effect on the roof shouldn't have been missed tho. I'll let you off this time. A fair bit more work has appeared, eh. There's a small 4WD channel, TRPN, he's doing up a 4x4 to give away to one of his patreons. Cheers
Yeh I got lucky on the exhaust not seeing I built the exhaust my self. There are quite a few Chanel’s giving away cars. I am not sure if I well ever make it to that stage but it would be awesome to be able to give back to the patrons
A Morris truck! Interesting. The 180 will be an interesting project to watch, I like your plan for it. I put a towbar on my 2000 sports, sounds daggy, but I had to tow me 10' dinghy around. Could only see the tongue so wasn't too bad. Cheers Mick
