You missed a few important points. Firstly the right lugs on the 16613 are intentionally thinner than the left lugs to counterbalance the weight of the winder. This is brilliant in terms of design (perfect balance) but also helpful when spotting fakes. The later models didn't have this they just had fatter poorly proportioned lugs that were equal in size both sides. This probably because the overall weight of the later watches is significantly heavier so counterbalancing the winder becomes less important. Second point you missed is these also came with Serti Dials which the newer variants do not. Submariner Serti dials ended with this model are much rarer but not significantly more expensive. Finally there are 3 dial types to do with lume: Tritium 1988-1998, Luminova (Swiss only dials) 98-00 and Swiss Made 00-end of 16613 production. Swiss only dials are the rarest and do carry a premium. Holy grail in terms of rarity would thus be 16613 Serti with a Swiss only dial.

Bought my very first Rolex last June … 2005 Bluesy … then I went a little wild the following months 🤦‍♂️… in July, bought a 2023 Datejust 41 Mint Green Dial with Oyster bracelet and fluted Bezel..then bought a 2024 Yachtmaster 40 Stainless Steel and Platinum in August. Followed by a 2001 Polar White Explorer II in September and a 2017 Datejust with Rodium dial, fluted bezel and oyster bracelet in October. Wrapped up with the watch I’ve wanted for over a decade… A Rolex Milgaus with a white dial… also got my hands on a Tag Aqua Racer, Omega Seamaster last year …. Im done for a while …

Best watch is the GShock or any cheaper TImex or Casios. They dominate military use. Quartz is the most accurate. No way would an infantry soldier carry automatic watch unless they don’t care about getting it destroyed.

Analoge military style is my favorite as a dress watch or casual carry. For military personal and outdoorsman on a budget (or not) the best option is a Casio G Shock with solar power and multiband 6. The basic models are very affordable and you choose the features you like or need at extra cost. There's a model for everybody. I'm former military but back than the G Shock was just developed and only available in Japan. Since then I'm a outdoor instructor and work with a lot of military colleagues. With a few exceptions they all have a G Shock.

How much will be a good and fair price to pay in the US for a new Rolex Submariner Blue Model m126613lb-0002 with OysterSteel and 18K gold? Today it retails for $15,600.00. Is it really a hard Rolex model to find and buy? Or not? Your help and advice will be very much appreciated.
@chronock2525
@chronock2525 Год назад
For the Rolex Submariner 126613LB Two-Tone Gold Blue, if you're considering purchasing from a dealer or jeweler, a fair price for a worn model typically falls between $16,600 - $17,100. unworn or brand-new piece would likely command a higher premium. As for its availability, the Submariner is certainly a sought-after model, but it's not as challenging to locate as, say, a Daytona. That being said, market demand and availability can fluctuate. I always advise fellow enthusiasts to purchase a watch primarily because they love and appreciate it, rather than just for its potential investment value.

The Rolex movement here is the 3135 model. The updated and newer movement today is the improved and better 3235 movement. The new 3235 model is more accurate and has a longer power reserve, 70 hours versus 48 hours for the older model. In 2020 this Bluey watch was priced at $14,300.00 Today, in 2023, it is now priced at $15,600.00, a 9% increase. One way to tell the old from the current new Bluey is that the fonts on the dial face on the older model are in yellow/gold while on the new Bluey model they are white.

NH35 movement, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel. An unbelievable value. It’s a true heavyweight dive watch with a tried and true movement. It blew my mind when I opened it. For $149! It’s unreal! Maybe a great watch to review?

Owning a Rolex is not a flex if you use it to tell when your lunch break is over it's just a watch I've had cheap $50 watches from Walmart last 20 years before anybody who would spend that much on a wrist watch in my book is stupid even Bill Gates realizes inexpensive wrist watch is unnecessary there's some really nice watches out there for a couple of hundred bucks that will last you a lifetime and the little bit extra shininess and refinement that you may get out of a Rolex isn't worth the price difference and if you wear your watch like a real man and work with it on every day it's going to look like a wore out beat up piece of crap in a few years yeah if you're financially wealthy and you want one go out and buy it but if you're average working class Joe that wants to drop half a year salary on a wristwatch you're a fool just like somebody that puts $5,000 wheels and tires on $1,000 car or runs out and buys an expensive BMW or Mercedes but lives in a $25,000 house in the ghetto

I totally agree, if I ever own any Rolex it will be a 16613, the most beautiful of all Rolex watches, simple and elegant, and an improvement over its successors (no one needs a larger case, or an off-color bezel), even though ironically I don't dive !

Today, in 2023, this Bluey Rolex Submariner is model "m126613lb-0002" and is priced at $15,600.00. It is a very hard to get this Rolex model new. No Rolex dealer has it in stock and the only way to buy this new is to order one, which will take a long time. Surprisingly used models are more expensive. Good luck to have your dreams to come true.

@@thecorduroysuit3086don’t worry about band stretch. 5 digit model bracelets last 25 years with daily use. have daily worn this watch for 25 years and only last year has the bracelet refurbished (same original bracelet now with small tubes inserted to the pins to retighten it). In summary the watch and bracelet will outlast you. The 5 series is better looking, much lighter to wear and a lot rarer than the new ones.
