I am amazed that you came to that conclusion on Episode 1 ! The video series you are referring to were done quiet a while back. Episodes 1-11 deal mostly with concepts and theory. Episodes 11 onwards use the D365 program. Requires some patience as this is for absolute beginners !
All good. The video is anyways intended for those using Copilot in business environment. Just an FYI, there is a free web version of copilot and it basically uses Chat GPT 3.0 in background.
I am in process of constantly improving the content. Feedback like yours really help :) Unfortunately, I cant edit the old content anymore, but for all new content I have avoided any background music/sound.
Thank you Kalpesh. I will try my best. Some of these videos related tp D365 are quiet old now, so I will try to release new ones with the latest versions.
@@d365proz that would be a great help to people like me who wants to switch there jobs into a different field.... It's really appreciated 👍 thanks for all this man...really appreciated 🙏
Hi sir, It was an amazing technic. Could you please tell me if I wise to add multiple mails ID's should I need to need to add comma to separate each mail Id.. or should we have any other technic
Sometimes it can get tricky, especially if its a managed solution. You need to make sure you remove all dependencies first. The following links can help you: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/alm/dependency-tracking-solution-components learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/alm/removing-dependencies
Settings>>Service Management>>Automatic Record Creation and Update Rules" You need to enable this option "Send automatic email response to customer on record creation" and need to create an email template. Note: You can also potentially use Power Automate for automatic response, but that is not recommended as that can end up in recipient junk and also, the email communication will not be registered in activities for the ticket. Thanks for following. Iam currently in process of creating the video series and would be targeting 2 in a week. The initial videos will be high level (as precursor) and gradually I will dive into the details of how to work with it. Thanks.
Thank you for this video. Is there a way to launch the help balloons automatically, say on page load, instead of bringing up "?" pane then clicking on links?
Last time I checked, it did not had that feature. Overall its quiet basic in that sense. Hopefully there might be some improvements going forward. In many of my projects companies have used 3rd party tools such as "WalkMe", but it could be expensive. However, I think going forward CoPilot would help much more than the help panes! What do you think?
Yes of course you can share personal views by using "Manage and Share Views" option. Check this link: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/user/grid-filters-advanced#manage-and-share-personal-views
What do you mean by security roles can be created in a Business Unit. Isn't is actually that a Security role can be assigned to a Business Unit? You generally create security roles in an Environment and asign it to either a User, Team (M365 or AAD Group), Assign team or BU
You are correct from assignment part. The main point to understand is that Security Roles cannot reside on its own. Within D365 security structure Business Unit come first and things have to be associated to it. If that logic is clear, however you want to say it, its the same thing!
You need to check permission on SharePoint / OneDrive (the permission to those are separate an not part of D365). Check this link: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/troubleshoot/administration/access-denied-or-need-permission-error-sharepoint-online-or-onedrive-for-business
@@d365proz I am also global admin, I have run this 'Check SharePoint User Access' it is saying 'We could not find a problem.' SharePoint integration is working with d365 but for one drive it is saying insufficient privileges.
I see that the OneNote is saving to the SharePoint folder linked to the record (good). From the timeline, I'm inclined to click on the OneNote each time, which in the documents subgrid it appears to create new files. From the SharePoint side, it appears to be just one file. Weird behavior.
After I create the OneNote from the Timeline, is there a reason that it doesn't display in the timeline? I can get back to the file that got created by clicking + OneNote but is there a visual way to see that there is a OneNote?
I will try. I am thinking of putting all Hindi version in a separate channel. I had created this one to just give a try and see if there is any feedback. Thanks for showing interest :)
Question. Can you have multiple connections per contacts record? This is a problem when I load dataverse data into the pbi. The pbi doesn't like it when I reference the same contacts record twice.
Thanks for the nice session , could you cover the vendor onboarding process also where prospective vendor gets registered and gets onbaorded after few steps ...
I have a question regarding applying security roles to Business Units. When you create or copy a new security role on a business unit, does that mean that the role is available to the business unit, but the role still needs to be applied to a user or team under the business unit to become active/effective ?
The role needs to be applied to the User/Team. I personally prefer to apply role to Team(s), and assign/unassign Users to respective teams. The user will automatically inherit the roles privileges assigned to the team. This makes user permission management much easier, rather than applying roles to individual users.
Hi, If for example, there is an existing clone solution that has been deployed to other PROD. Then a new updates needs to be implemented, do you suggest to use the existing clone solution or should I patch the solution and then create a new clone?
Thanks, it would be more interesting to see the call back to dynamics and find some look-up values to include in the email. Are you planning for a new demo for that scenario?
Well done! Thank you for this! I have a question and I am looking for good advice. Which is more preferable: Dividing solutions into technical parts or functional parts? To give an example: - Technical: 1 Solution with all Plugins, 1 Solution with all Tables, etc. - Functional: 1 Solution for functionality A (containing all associated objects, such as Plugins, Tables, etc), 1 Solution for functionality B (containing all associated objects, such as Plugins, Tables, etc), etc. Thanks in advance!
With the function-based solutions, it can simplify troubleshooting, to have everything about a function in one place. The down side is you can end up with a LOT of solutions. We often start with solutions organized on object type (your "Technical" model, and then switch to the functional model for enhancements
