MY BOOOOOOOOY WITH THE MAX PAYNE MUSIC!!!!!!!

The music is so generic that it hurts my soul. It sounds like every lame trailer that's been released in the last five years. Besides the poor choice in music, the editing was ok. Keep on editing!🦾

Thanks, appreciate the feedback, I'll try do better with the soundtrack choice in future, I'm working on a Terminator 2 trailer next, what do you think to this music? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A9_H23Hmslo.html (just a shorter version that I trimmed) or is it too generic again? Do you have any suggestions on the genre of music or any specific songs which would work well?

@@KevinLCampbell The music choice sounds way too similar to your previous work. I suggest exploring different genres or unique tracks to introduce more variety and freshness. Consider experimenting with more intense or dramatic music to better align with the tone of a Terminator 2 trailer. Incorporating tracks with distinct themes or motifs could significantly enhance audience engagement.

Overall, it's a good effort. Let me start by saying my original trailer is not the best example of a good trailer. I've learned much over the years with each edit, and so will you. You will pick up more techniques as you go along. So, like mine, your trailer falls short on a number of things, and that's okay. You're still learning. One key area to focus on is the cohesion between visuals and music. This aspect needs to feel like a song and dance, where they should syncopate with each other. The music should drive the emotional arc of the trailer, and the visuals should complement and enhance this arc. For instance, when the music builds to a crescendo, your visuals should mirror that intensity with dynamic shots or climactic moments. Conversely, when the music is soft and slow, use longer takes and more intimate visuals to match the mood. Another point to consider is the pacing of your cuts. There are too many fast cuts when the tempo of the music doesn't call for it. Pacing should be dictated by the rhythm and mood of the soundtrack. Fast cuts are effective during high-energy moments but can feel jarring and out of place during slower, more emotional scenes. Try to let the music breathe and guide the transitions between shots, ensuring each cut feels purposeful and enhances the storytelling. When it comes to the story, aim for a three-act structure if possible. This means setting up the premise in the first act, escalating the tension in the second, and providing a climax in the third. However, this doesn't mean you can't break or bend the rules. The three-act structure is a good rule of thumb because it provides a familiar framework that audiences can easily follow. Within this structure, you have the flexibility to innovate and surprise your viewers. The key is to make sure there's a clear progression and that each part of the trailer builds on the last, leading to a satisfying and engaging climax without giving away too much of the plot. Audio is arguably the most important element in a trailer. You have unusual and jarring dead silence in some shots, which can be distracting. It's okay to use some of the original audio in places to maintain continuity and keep the audience engaged. Ambient sounds, dialogue snippets, and sound effects from the scenes can add depth and make the trailer feel more immersive. Ensuring that the audio transitions smoothly between scenes is crucial to maintaining a professional and polished feel. Lastly, try not to use the same music that has already been used in a trailer for the same film. Using the same music can restrict your creativity as you might end up comparing your trailer to someone else's. Be original and make it your own. Choosing unique music allows you to craft a distinct tone and atmosphere for your trailer, setting it apart and showcasing your individual style and interpretation of the film. Remember, every trailer you edit is an opportunity to learn and improve. Embrace the process, enjoy the creative journey, and keep pushing your boundaries. Happy editing!

Best porridge recipe on youtube. All of the others I've seen have been either too vague, or did their own take on it.
