You are asking for problems if you use anything for oil like these “fix your car in a bottle” stuff would have you believe. Today’s oils have enough cleaners in them for the job. If you don’t change your oil regularly don’t look for something in a bottle to disguise your lack of maintenance. Your car is designed to run on a certain weight of oil and changing that viscosity could destroy your engine. If you have 300k miles on your engine and it calls for a 5w20 weight oil you might consider using a 5w30 instead because of the wear. Remember the w in the 5w stands for winter and cold starts. Using a thick oil can cause damage on start up. Don’t be fooled by the advertising. It’s designed to deceive you. I like to run a tank of premium gas in my vehicles once a month to help keep the internal parts of the fuel system clean. When the price of gas is down I use the premium at every fill up. Better gas mileage and my cars and trucks run much better on it than the 87 crap we’re expected to use. When using gasoline for my equipment such as chainsaws, lawn mowers, weed eaters, I always use premium fuel. You know what happens to your equipment when it sits for awhile. Everything gets gunked up. Premium helps prevent this but only extends the life of the fuel. Using gasoline that is ethanol free is the preferred method if you can find it. Doing these things will help reduce your bill at your small engine repair shop. Don’t buy the fuel that is a premix from these big retail stores either. Buying a small gas can and some 2 stroke oil, mixing it yourself using a measuring cup will help keep your equipment running. It’s the proven method for a clean running and long lasting engine. I have tested these things for years and this is what I have found to work the best. If you want to experiment, take a pint of gasoline, put it in a quart container and put it out of the way of children. Leave the top off and let the gasoline evaporate. Look at what is left behind in the jar and see for yourself. This was done on purpose by the fuel company’s and the gov, not to help the people but to boost profits and quantity at your expense. If you are able to get a non ethanol gas, fill your tank and take notice of your fuel economy vs the gasoline with ethanol in it. Everything that I have said here I have proven and you can too.
Yeah that’s what I’m doing I stopped using the 87 and I put this in to help with the vvti solenoid as I’ve been trying to figure out this misfire. I’ve started at the plugs to coils then the fuel pump waiting on a O2 sensor. I get a code for a multiple cylinder misfire then will throw three more of the front 2,4,6 cylinders. Still learning as I go! I appreciate the info too as well much appreciated!
Yeah I used it to clean up the vvti solenoids as the car sat for a while and then was ran on low oil for a little bit have a misfire issue. I’ve been trying to figure out so step-by-step, coils, plugs, fuel pump, and now two sensors come in as well most parts on this vehicle were stock so a lot of it is starting to give up lmao
Been dealing with a random misfire 2,4,6 is throwing a code for it and one for multiple. So changed plugs, coils, fuel pump still same issue put this Lucas in to clean up the vvti solenoids to see before I throw more money into it lol
@@TheeMindlessTVthat specific set of cylinders screams head gasket to me, make sure all spark plugs are out on the one side and do a compression test, you could have a leak between the cylinders that would come up fine with all the plugs in
