Read all of Acts Chapter 10 Acts 10:28 28 He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean.
Have a look at the context of that passage, it was regarding the apostles preaching to the gentiles. Acts 10:28 28 He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean. This is directly after that vision, have a read of all of chapter 10 and decide for yourself if its talking about food or if its a metaphor for apostles preaching to the gentiles 😊
10:14, 15 Peter's resistance shows the difficulty with which the Jews let go of the Law. God's commandment here is first a declaration that the Old Covenant dietary laws are fulfilled and thus no longer in effect (see Mk 7:19). More importantly, this vision revealed that the Gentiles, who were considered un- clean by the Jews, are cleansed by the blood of Christ and are equal partakers of the Kingdom (see V. 28). This vision thus prepared Peter to receive Cornelius (w. 17-48). Finally, this also teaches us that God desires to receive everyone into His Church, regardless of heritage, social class, or past sins, for all are one in Christ
To a point yes as far as my knowledge goes on the subject people would be unclean if they eat certain foods but after Jesus Christ it didn’t matter what we ate bc had already paid the ultimate sacrifice
Yes, when He stated until the end of the Age (of Pisces) which was on 5 June 1941 at Glastonbury, Somerset. Now on His First Jesiam Solar Planet, not with GOD, but working on the Intergalactic Council of Light. Blessings
Listening to Pastor Doug bachelor is like reading a good book. It’s really hard to put it down. I’ve listened to three of his sermons today. Hungry for the “Wonderful Words of Life” in every way.
👍🏼 Wow 🤩 there’s a lot of things in this world I’ve never heard of! Lots of knowledge in this one ☝️ “The entire Lord’s Prayer on the head of a gold writing pen.” Amazing 🤩
Making up shit as they go. Ten commandments are pretty clear what God requires. Anything else is man made. Dose a murderer any better because he didn't eat the "garbage cans of the environment? Pay more attention of what comes out of your mouth than what you put in it.
Read Genesis chapter 9. 👍 9 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. 2 The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands. 3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. 4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. 5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being. 6 “Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind.
I saw this message in it's entirety and probably the scriptures were not shown BUT Mr Doug bachelor did quote the scriptures whereby GOD SAID NO DO NOT EAT I!!!!! PLZ believers READ YOUR BIBLES ,,,,, (QUOTE) MY PPL PERISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE ( UNQUOTE) 1/07/2024
He's either not versed enough or he's giving his opinion and lacing it with half teaching. He probably quoted Old Testament and he is right. But, But, But, after God destroyed the world and sent Jesus a new standard was set for us to follow.
What do you mean? Peter's dream? You interpreted the book out of context. You took out the rest when the explanation if that dream was explained at the end of the chapter. Peter doesnt want to preach to the gentiles which he considered unclean people, a typical jew that he is, a dream was shown to him. Leviticus 11 states what to eat and what not to. Shrimps, oysters, lobsters and alikes are cleaners of the oceans and seas. We are not supposed to be eating them. That is scriptural-according to your bible.
Then why did Paul say in 2 Corithians that as long as we pray over the food everything is good. These preachers are counting on people not reading their Bibles so they listen to this.however i still pray about the subject when I hear things like this
@@bryanandheather9262 only pigs eats anything. Acts 10 doesnt justify eating anything and if Peter's dream is plain and doesn't need interpretation, why don't people eat rats and other unclean meats! No offence intented but please continue reading the whole Acts 10. Peter, in Jewish law, forbades him to associate with gentiles 10:28( means different race or nationality or simply non-jews) but Peter later on realized what the trance/vision was all about- on verse 34 that God clearly does not show favoritism. It doesn't point out to Leviticus 11 being abolished in Acts 10. In regards to paul, he always contradicts himself the reason Peter can't get along with him besides being a roman and a pharisee. He is not handpicked and trained by the Messiah.
Talk about the danger of normalising eating pork. Talk about Chinese eating dogs and cats. Talk about Ethiopians eating raw meat daily. (all fishes or creatures are halal/kosher)
@@-Marc2044- I wasnt there and lobsters arent apples. Also, i wasnt told not to eat them. You dont get to tell me what to eat or not to eat. Your opinions dont matter to me !!!! Thanks for playing !!!!
Doesn't reference scripture. States what he thinks are God's intentions as fact without providing any evidence. Yep, classic false teacher. Move Along everyone, nothing to see here.
If you want to follow the old testament, you probably should neitherxeat seafood or porc, but whatever makes you feel good about your faith is fine with me.
The old testament is for us just as the new is.. that's like saying the Ten Commandments was only for the Old Testament people when Christ says he's only coming back for the Commandment keepers
Maybe Jesus was real. Maybe he was radically different and impactful. Maybe he did come back to life. Maybe he was God. Maybe God is real and really does love us. Maybe these people have had deep personal encounters with him and no one, not even being called a delusional toddler can convince them otherwise. Or maybe it’s all a lie, we lie, and we’re all crazy. Don’t stress over it, since it’s all mass cultural deceit it doesn’t matter. You’ll find out the truth in the end. We all will.
@@S4vvyos you sound just like a flat earther. What calendar a society happens to use to mark time doesn't itself prove anything about the universe. See this is what OP was talking about, the ability to reason just isn't there.
Acts 10 New International Version Cornelius Calls for Peter 10 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. 2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!” 4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. 5 Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter. 6 He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.” 7 When the angel who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants. 8 He told them everything that had happened and sent them to Joppa. Peter’s Vision 9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” 14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” 15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” 16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.
