We get around by trains and buses. The network of public transportation is good and reliable. Google Map directions show the options pretty well. Enjoy your stay!

Great video ! If you are staying at a nearby hotel, not on Mont St Michel, can you still stay till late at night ? Or do you have to leave Mont St. Michelle by a certain time ?
You are free to go in and out anytime! (Except for when the rare supertide occurs which may be high enough to cover the bridge)The shuttles do not run 24 hours but you can walk or bike across the bridge. Thanks for watching!

Hi! I’m sorry, I don’t really know if Rennes is a popular retirement city. The city center where we spent our time was full of young students since the city has 19 universities.
I'm from Brittany and I lived in Rennes for a few years; it's a student town and it gets rowdy at times, there are much more tranquil towns around Rennes I would recommend over the city for retiring. For a similar medieval vibe you have Vitré or Fougères very close by. A bit further Dinan or Saint-Malo.

I will be on a cruise this summer and was ready to skip the port in Cadiz to enjoy the ship. This and many other videos of this beautiful historic city has lead me to and my family to plan an adventure there.
We came on a cruise ship as well and were surprised by how much history and beauty this city has. We plan to go back for a longer stay in the future! Really nice, and brings back great memories of our visit there in 2016, I believe. We were very fortunate that the Tour de France was passing by on the mainland and all the roads were blocked off. We just managed to get on the island before the roads were closed. We had it all to ourselves! It was amazing to be able to see this wonderful place with almost no other people.
