@kaiserdignitias4952 thank you so much!! And if you have any requests for anything, please let me know. Much more planned but I am open to any and all suggestions. 😀
@@midasdesignsgaming Well... I just need a window on any roof :) As seen in Home Design 3D (you have my 1st build in this game but that software lacks lights... :)
Hello friend! I've saved your tutorials to reference them when I need them and, BOY! is this one needed today. I'm in storymode and roofs drive me nuts! So thank you! Just a suggestion: would i be possible to quickly reference concepts talked about in other vids so that it is easier to find that info, or maybe offer a timestamp for the topic? I'm gonna go through all of these for sure, but as I'm playing the game and just need a quick tip, I would find it easier to keep all info in one video. [You were talking about settings with regards to combining two roofs]. Other than that, please keep this up! 🥰
Thank you so much! I think that is possible, I'll have to figure out how to do it, I'm still a n00b when it comes to video editing. I'll see what I can do!
I was wondering if you could made a video that goes into making second stories/floors? I struggle a lot with second floors mainly because they almost always end up being so bland, like just and extension of the first floor exterior wise. And another issue I have is with my floor plans always looking uninteresting so I try to build window spaces that pop out, you know like the kind with a sitting space, but I can't seem to get them right. Great video by the way, I always knew I was doing something wrong when making basements, now I know I was missing a foundation
Of course! I just realized that it looks like I forgot to do a feature on how to do stairs, thank you very much for reminding me! I think I may have figured out some good options for bay windows so I'll do a piece on that too soon. Finally, floor plans and design are definitely on my plans for the near future. I am glad these are helping! Sandbox can be quite daunting sometimes since there are endless options and opportunities there.
I've got 200+ hours in this game and have consistently not been able to figure out why my molding is always about a foot away from the wall. So much so that I will ignore the molding requirement in rooms entirely T.T This video was more helpful than you could imagine.
There is a mobile version of the game but it's not by the same developers. So at this moment, there is no mobile version (nor Switch version of HF2). It appears those devices (mobile and Switch) just do not have the ability to support the game (according to the devs that is).
Yes, only the glass walls are resizable. I have been doing a lot lately with metric system in game and they can only be sized as 1/5 meter per size change. This means you could get 220 cm or 240 cm. However, there are ways you can create a 230cm space with jungfrau pieces and then use the transform move tool to jam it in the slot. Hope that helps!
@@midasdesignsgamingappreciate this comment. While I've played well over 1,000 hours of HF1, I'm not that fussed on HF2 but tips like this are slowly bringing me around. I've always wanted to resize windows (and was losing my mind trying to resize the windows) but resizing the glass walls will do me now. Thank you.
😆I get triggered by it too sometimes but then I did some research and saw this is actually a thing in a lot of places now. Though they mostly use teak and bamboo woods, a lot of people swear by it in the shower. Not for me though...tiles for me only (way easier to clean and maintenance).
@@sazzlesazzington3599 All good! 🙂I find it amazing how much you see wood in showers internationally. I'll stick to my Italian marble tiles in my shower IRL! 🙂
This was very relaxing to watch! You have a soothing voice and the music was just right. Had this playing while I did some cozy minecrafting and thought about Daryll from walking dead living there. XD
I'm ready to move in! Question though, can this be built in Story mode or does it have structural items that are only available in Sandbox? I'm guessing the pool trick only works in Sandbox because you have to get underground to flip the pool. I'd love to have this as my office. :)
Thank you so much! The house could be built in normal mode for sure! The pool would not be possible as you mentioned but everything else should be doable. The only thing I jammed into place with the move tool was the hot water tank so I could fit everything in that room but you could just remove that and be good. Even the brick wall around the property should be doable as it's just normal walls two thick and then a chipboard placed on top and resized. If you recreate this in normal mode, I would LOVE to see it! Good luck!
@@midasdesignsgaming I'm going to give it a shot and see if I can pull it off. I'll let you know if I manage to do it, but I'm pretty sure it take a few days, as it will be my first attempt at building a house from the ground up, and I'm expecting some trial and errors, but hey, ya never know until you try. :)
Great tip video. I like adding the different colored tiles on the floor to help with alignment. That table is a great idea. I actually never thought of that.
Thank you! I never realized it was that easy. LOL That's what I get for overthinking things. I was trying to do it in reverse, building the shell around it and trying to carve out the opening to shove a fireplace into it. This video was a total face palm moment for me. Too funny.
Did you get permission from Balitecture architects to recreate their work? I don't see you mentioning anywhere in your description that this project is one of theirs. You basically PLAGIARISED their work. The original is found on youtube under "modern tropical house design pefection"@BalitecturePLus @balitecture #balitectureplus #balitecture
The Kyrre House has stolen my heart! I could absolutely live here, as long as I found a spot for my PC. Yes, I'm binging all your vids because your builds are so creative and you are so relaxing to listen to. There is a video on a really really cool deconstructed tiny house "villa" here on YT that I think you'd knock out of the park if you find it interesting. Look up Levi Kelly Tours and search *Deconstructed* Tiny House Villa. I mention it because you said on another comment that you are also in the process of downsizing. I really think you will like it.
This is so cool! I've been looking at downsizing in real life and my research has brought up tiny homes (399 sq ft), cottages (600ish sq ft), shed-to-homes (400-600 sq ft) and shipping containers. It has been very interesting looking at all the alternatives out there, so seeing this video pop up just made me grin. I'm definitely going to subscribe to it so I can play around with seeing how I could arrange my furniture in it! Thank you so much for sharing it.
And thank you for stopping by! And the kind words! 🙂I love a good tiny home, and container homes are amazing for the space challenges they create! Good luck in your search for finding a way to downsize, doing the same here too in real life!
