Coach, can you point me in the right direction for the play action pass pro. With the pulling OG. Is it really just block Power Read and don't go down field past three yards? What are your rules for your BS OT ? I'd want to make the BS OT's block look like an arc step, Skip pull, secure B Gap run thru then turn back for the edge defender. (Seal & Wheel or Alley Hinge) I have been looking everywhere but the best I can do is to watch recent Ohio State film. Thank you for your thoughts.
Backside George and Tom calls were originated with Coach Schembechler and staff in the 80's.... this amazes me that backside terminology (same names... wow) are still around 30 years later.... I am so intrigued and interested where you inherited this terminology coach..... great stuff!!
"Smack" veer/IZ type play coach? Got your 101 pro pistol IBook absolutely outstanding just got it so I'm only up to the GT counter so far but I love your formation calling, going to incorporate it to what we currently do
What from the corner/safety do you see to know it is time to run this? vs 2 high press corner into the boundary vertical (sit in open grass)/drag? vs 2 high press corner middle of the field no drag. Is it a 1 wr deal?
i like this play the most, because the flyfake is AWAY from the insiderun. with the reverse pivot to the defense it looks like the QB is first handing off to the SLOT and then pivoting to the RB. also: the flyfake widens the BS-DE so you should not need to account for him with a hat. maybe another LB flows too much to the fake and is out of his inside-run-responsibilites.
