Love this! Reminiscing as I was thinking about entering the masters on that Saturday... next year! inspiring stuff! I also brought my dog down, but he was freaked out by the drone.
Some great work, gimbal and bike riding is… well, and art. A few tips guys- The mic on the gimbal will really mess with the balance and you’re better off using foley in post. Through the tree tracking shots- whack it on manual focus, then you can shoot at shallowed depth and throw the focus to the rider behind the trees. Stick to the 180 shutter angle rule 👌🏻 Good work
i got a lot from this thanks. im thinking of doing a track taster session as I want to enjoy the fun aspects of this (which I think you've really captured by the way!) , but honestly im a bit put off by the competitive level. im not that good, simple as that. if the community turns out to be focussed on performance and how well you race, i think i will bounce right off it. ill just feel inadequate and excluded
My youngest son just messaged me: "Honor and Theo just rode past me. They were in nice kit and Honor had a camera on her back". So now you have stalkers as well as a fan base! Are you off to Hog Hill to get in some pre-Beastway training? You know this Sunday's race is postponed as the place is too water logged :(
Really impressive level of insight here... I don't race but I can relate a lot to the themes of balancing self-analysis with criticism and... well I didn't say it as well as you did. Nice work, and I'm really glad you're feeling healthy =) PS where do you find a climb for an 8 minute effort near London?
thank you! ❤️ i was very very happy to find that road, it's not super convenient for me but worth the trip over for longer efforts i think. brickendon lane just south of hertford, it's not super significant in terms of actual climbing but draggy enough for harder efforts 😀
Great season recap, thanks for all the great vids capturing the amazing cross atmosphere, my favourite vids were the hearne hill summer ones, that was my son’s favourite race and Milton Keynes, then he broke his collarbone 😭 not a cycling accident.I had a shocker of a season, my favourite race was 1st round of Eastern Cross but it was sooo hot! once my son had broke his collarbone bone we did several day trips to Belgium to watch the pros, to keep his spirits up! Long days but amazing! Keep the content coming
thank you! sounds like quite the rollercoaster for you guys, going to watch the pros seems like the absolute best way to make good of that situation though, lucky son after all, we hope to do a bit of that next year too! 😀 fingers crossed your next season isn't a shocker 😂🤞
Love this. First cx season for me Loved: the cx community, very welcoming/friendly. Enjoyed the challenge of learning bike handling. Brought my riding on huge amounts. Hated: really muddy courses. Always cleaning bikes. The expense of cx, all the kit, multi bikes/tires/wheels. Also hated mechanicals 😂 Fave courses: dry, long drags/hills. Wessex league crow, Andover and popham
your first CX season and i look up to your riding already 🤩 agree with all you said except for the long hills! hope to maybe join you at the odd wessex race next season, if not before then on the road 🫶🏻
well done on making it through the season, even if it didn’t end the way you wanted. looking forward to seeing some more racing adventures ahead, and maybe might join you for some?
😢 the cross season is over 😢, thanks for all the brilliant content of the local leagues. Keep the content coming, love your videos. Hope the knee recovers soon Theo
thanks so much for watching! really glad you’ve enjoyed it. we’ve got a CX wrap up video coming and of course we’ll still be throwing CX in at every opportunity but otherwise, stay tuned for next season 😀
This lads face, voice and body language suggest he is not quite loving it! Maybe just his languid style, and inside he is ecstatic! Either way, enjoyable content!
Hi, nicely filmed. I was wondering since it has mechanical shifting if I see it correctly. How did you get the shifting cable completely inside the frameset (in at the headset and out at the back)? And is this an easy job or requiring some patience 🙂
Kette empfinde ich für unnötig kurz, die Ventile dagegen unnötig lang. Weshalb die Muttern unter der FM-Aufnahme (~2:30min)?? Drehmomentangaben werden wohl überbewertet...??!!
