It's because of expats like you that there will always be crazy people paying crazy prices resulting in working class never ever being able to buy a house in their own country.
to live in The Netherlands you need permanent employment, so this problem is kinda solved already when you arrived as expat. not sure what cases you referring to but everyone gets the same rights in terms of amount of mortgage.
@@dpashutskiiA young person is getting much less for example. They considered less concious with money. Also, if you start working at a company, you start with temporary contract and takes 1-2 years to get a permanent one.
These are very useful tips. I’m doing something similar, the main difference is that I’m not a very public person and haven’t created my own blog or journal. I also never read or watch anything that I wouldn’t enjoy in my native language, so I don’t watch cartoons or sitcoms and don’t read books for children. ChatGPT has proven to be really useful when I’m trying to understand content that is more advanced than my current level. Conversely, I check my written texts with it, so I’m not forced to describe my thoughts using simpler language constructions than I would like. I can also ask for explanations, and usually, it works well.
That's a good question. In short: travel. More detailed: I have a whole separate video about why I decided to buy a car ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P6vbLuMiJIs.html
When you calculate required income in order to make 3500 net per month you should point that there is a big difference whether you're making money alone or as a couple because of taxes. If you earn minimum wage (13,27 euros per hour) and work 36 hour a week you'll earn ~2100 euros per month gross and pay almost no taxes for that which gives you ~1950 net. So working couple can't earn less than 3900 euros per month.
taxes don't depend on whether you're alone or together, all taxes are calculated for individuals. indeed, for low salaries, there is close to 0% tax here. I explained it in detail in my separate video about taxes: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fBeC6C_3mzY.html
@@dpashutskii I think he meant that those two cases: a) 2 people making 25k euro each b) 1 person making 50k euro, the other unemployed vary significantly when it comes to net money after taxes. In case a) both people are taxed very little, while in the b) case the one person earning money is taxes more heavily.

Great video once again! I'm also interested in a Tesla, but insurance prices were insane, like 180 euros or more. Which insurance company do you have? I was using Independer up to now, and I even have 2 year driving experience in NL Thanks mate!
I use ABN AMRO. As I understand main Dutch banks have cheaper insurance but they are as good as any dedicated insurance company (if not better). PS Independer for some reason doesn't suggest them.
I agree with that everything is so scripted RU-vid doesn’t match with the Dutch. RU-vid showed only the rainbow and flowers of the Dutch. However in reality the Dutch are depressed and sad and I wish it was more explained
Hey Dmitrii, thanks for sharing your experience! I am considering to buy a new Tesla in the Netherlands. Have you encountered any problems while buying a car from Tesla e.g. limited financial options as none NL citizen or ability to get SEPP? Also would like to learn if there are other costs you need to bear to purchase an electric car like taxes, registration etc!
Hey! I didn't encounter any issues, the purchase experience was smooth and perfect. Getting SEPP is extremely easy, too. You just submit a small form and get money in your bank account within a week. Make sure, the fund is still there when you buy a car. Right now there is 29% left (www.rvo.nl/subsidies-financiering/sepp/subsidie-koop-nieuwe). I assume it'll be depleted closer to the end of the year and there will be no new fund in 2025. No one cared about the citizenship too, only Dutch residency. All the costs were included in the price of Tesla (registration) and they take care of everything. I just arrived at the salon and drove the car out :)
Good video but Jesus Christ my friend....its TTTTTTTibilisi there is a T in it! It's not Bilisi. 11:34 You lived there for how long? You should know that by now.
If the country that celebrates black Pete. And giving Dutch Caribbean island PTST Trauma attack. is the number one least racist country that has this world really a problem. I know that Netherlands is a Mary Sue on RU-vid
Very interesting and informative video! I'm moving to georgia soon but for just 2 months. It's difficult finding someone who will rent for that short of a period.
For this period I'd recommend booking/airbnb. You probably don't find anyone who will rent yours officially for 2 months. As I remember the shortest allowed period is 6 months.
Important for you to know: the traffic situation. There are painted shark teeth, so the car have to give priority. Is that only in the Netherlands? I haven t travelled a lot an I haven t a car license. If that shark teeth are only in the Netherlands that is very dangerous if foreigners don t know the meaning, because they are everywhere in the country.
But you have to know the rules of the road in the country you drive in. In the UK they have a double blocked line that means the same thing and you will only see that in the UK.
Those 100% cards on the empty shelves (is it?) in AH is for the boys and girls who wiil fill them soon with the products which have a reduced price(Bonus) in the coming week. So you will only see them on Sunday late. I donnot know why they use this with specific 100 % on it. I will ask the next time when I see them. When this photo was taken they have removed the left products who will get their normal price monday.
Everything is petite and tiny here, precisely because the roads are designed for safety in mind, which includes making the drivers of huge cars feel like they're impeding on others when they move their huge vehicles through a tiny neighbourhood street. This feeling of impedance makes them more alert and thereby reduces accidents. And that's important, because from the seat of those huge trucks, you can't see a child right in front of your bumper.
To be fair to the Belgians and after going through a lot of border crossings between Belgium and the Netherlands only a few are with the Dutch side being clearly better and I have also found two where the Belgian side actually seems to have a better road quality. What did strike with me is that the cycle paths are way more consistent and safe on the Dutch side with multiple examples where it'd just be cycle lanes on the Belgian side turning into seperated cycle paths on the Dutch side
The story about the Dutch surnames is actually true. A lot of people didn't have surnames before the French occupation and when they were told to register with a first and last name they just thought up some funny ones.
Thanks for the video! Did you use a personal bank account or a business account to receive money for your services and pay taxes in Georgia? You simply withdraw the money (minus company tax 1%) to your personal spending account? Personal bank accounts are a bit cheaper that's why I am asking.
Nope it's not the taxes. It's because companies like Ahold think we like discounts. So cosmetic products are always on discount in one store chain or an other. The discount price isn't really discount it's the actually price so when you go to the Etos and a product you want doesn't have discount you actually pay more. Better go to the Kruitvat to see or the product in on discount there. There has been an entire "keuringsdienst van waarde" episode on exactly this topic. Also most of time you need to buy more than 1 of a product to get the discount. So be prepared to have a mini warehouse with cosmetic products under you sink. I have 4 bars of Dove 3, tubes of Colgate. 2 toothbrushes on storage right now.
The shark teeth on the road means for the person in front of them that you have to stop and the other has priority. So in the video the pedestrian and the bike have priority over the car.
There is also a pretty big yield sign next to the road but sharktooth, priority rules and priority signs do not apply to pedestrians because although they are road users, they are not drivers. So bicycles have priority but pedestrians have not.
@@Species1732 I ask in a forum: In the image you shared, there is a car approaching a junction with haaientanden (yield triangles) on the road, indicating that the car must yield to other road users. A pedestrian is crossing the road in front of the car. In this situation, the car must yield to the pedestrian. Haaientanden mean that drivers must give way to all crossing traffic, including pedestrians. The pedestrian has the right of way, and the car should stop to allow them to cross safely.
@@bepsnet Nope. Shark teeth, priority rules and priority signs do only apply to drivers (in the meaning of operators of vehicles or "bestuurders" in Dutch). Pedestrians are not "bestuurders". You do not have to take my word for it: Google "haaientanden en voetgangers" and you'll find the Dutch "Reglement verkeersregels en verkeerstekens 1990" (Traffic Rules and Traffic Signs Regulations 1990) I admit it is a "sneaky" question for a traffic exam and I think the city planners should have added a zebra crossing for pedestrians because it is confusing and requires an in-depth knowledge about the obscure difference between what traffic signs mean for a road user ("weggebruiker") and a operator of a vehicle ("bestuurder").
@@bepsnet By the way: The driver has the right of way but better stop anyway because in case of an accident between a car and a pedestrian, child or cyclist, the driver of the car is liable for damages according to Article 185 of the Road Traffic Act (unless he/she can proof force majeur which is very difficult in most cases). It is a provision in the Traffic Act to protect vulnerable road users like pedestrians, children and cyclists
if you come to the the netherlands not speaking english or dutch you will learn english not dutch,i had a polish girlfriend for 2 years and she could only speak a little english she said after one year i dont learn dutch she said she was thinking she would learn it but you dont we switch to english
7:10 Seaguls are a scourge on humaity and therefor should be exiled to France. 15:44 Incorrect. Those are what we call "shark teeth" and they mean "Yield". The car has no priority. It has nothing to do with the type of traffic. The one in the image that choose the "wrong" answer is actually correct.
If Netherlands is really no.1 as least racist country, than that's quite depressing actually. It's definitely not the worst, but there's still plenty of racism going around here.
Don't confuse stigma and bias with racism because they're not the same. Very few people in The Netherlands are truly racist. It's just really rare. That doesn't mean there aren't any potential improvements left of course but that's mostly due to bias and group identity. It's the same for women trying to get a job in a traditionally male industry. The same goes for skin color, age group, religion, you name it. Any group label will do. People tend to include others who they feel will fit better in the existing group. It's part of human nature and how our brains are wired. That's OK as long as you're aware and try to put it aside and give people from different subgroups the same chance for the job, to enter a friends group etc. Racism is a very specific phenomenon where someone truly and consciously hates someone of a different ethnic group. This is luckily a very rare thing in The Netherlands.
Those trucks don't belong anywhere near the city. Especially lyfted shiny pavement princesses. For most farm, construction or delivery work van is gonna be way more practical.
Houses with cardboard walls are a minority!!I even pronounce that most off the walls in the Netherlands are of stone or concrete!!!I think that the source off that statement comes from people in a hotel..There are the dividing wals mostly from carbon..
Great video. At 17.25 the question is Amsterdam or … Portugal or… (I’ve lived in Portual for a while👍, but that’s not the points)…. Amsterdam is a city (and very much loaded with tourists)… Portugal, Spain, Greece are countries… Compare apples with apples. So Netherlands vs Portugal and Amsterdam vs Lisbon (though I love portugal😍🤣)
