The value of song as a means of education should never be lost sight of. Let there be singing in the home, of songs that are sweet and pure, and there will be fewer words of censure and more of cheerfulness and hope and joy. Let there be singing in the school, and the pupils will be drawn closer to God, to their teachers, and to one another.
As a part of religious service, singing is as much an act of worship as is prayer. Indeed, many a song is prayer. If the child is taught to realize this, he will think more of the meaning of the words he sings and will be more susceptible to their power.-Education, 167, 168.
Be not dismayed whate'er betide God will take care of you Beneath His wings of love abide God will take care of you God will take care of you Through every day, o'er all the way He will take care of you God will take care of you No matter what may be the test God will take care of you Lean, weary one, upon His breast God will take care of you God will take care of you Through every day, o'er all the way He will take care of you God will take care of you He will take care of you God will take care of you
I can do all things Through Christ who gives me strength But sometimes I wonder what He can do through me No great success to show No glory of my own Yet in my weakness He is there to let me know His strength is perfect when our strength is gone He'll carry us when we can't carry on Raised in His power, the weak become strong His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect We can only know The power that He holds When we truly see how deep our weakness goes His strength in us begins Where ours comes to an end He hears our humble cry and proves again His strength is perfect when our strength is gone He'll carry us when we can't carry on Raised in His power, the weak become strong His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect
Lost in a world of confusion Walking through life all alone Holding the hand of illusion, I was a diamond covered in stone Days spent looking, longing for that one thing That could make me whole When Lord I heard Your voice You rescued me from the depths of my loneliness And You gave me strength, gave me hope, to find my destiny With Your power and Your tender love You saved me You saved me Watching sand fall through an hourglass Waiting for the pain to let go I live each day frozen by my past like a flower covered in snow Then You heard my cry and my eyes were open wide To the truth of Your love And Lord I heard Your voice You rescued me from the depths of my loneliness And You gave me strength, gave me hope, to find my destiny With Your power and Your tender love You saved me You saved me Jehovah, Shamah, El Shaddia Eshua, Messiah, My Savior Jesus Christ You rescued me from the depths of my loneliness And You gave me strength, gave me hope, to find my destiny Oh You rescued me from the depths of my loneliness And You gave me strength My savior Jesus Christ You rescued me from the depths of my loneliness And You gave me strength, gave me hope, to find my destiny Oh You rescued me from the depths of my loneliness And You gave me strength, gave me hope, to find my destiny With Your power and Your tender love You saved me You saved me You saved me
Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee! E'en though it be a cross that raiseth me Still all my song shall be Searer, my God, to thee Searer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee! Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down Darkness be over me, my rest a stone Yet in my dreams I'd be Nearer, my God, to thee Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee! There let the way appear, steps unto heaven All that thou sendest me, in mercy given Angels to beckon me Nearer, my God, to thee Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee! Then, with my waking thoughts bright with thy praise Out of my stony griefs Bethel I'll raise So by my woes to be Nearer, my God, to thee Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee! Or if, on joyful wing cleaving the sky Sun, moon, and stars forgot, upward I fly Still all my song shall be Nearer, my God, to thee Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
Absolutely beautiful! I'm so touched and impressed by your piano accompaniment and arrangement. It's God's gift for you. I love your music so much, may I use it as my backing track?
I sang this in a youth camp in 2003. While I was listening to the lyrics, it made me realize and trusted God more that He will provide a man for me. All I have to do is wait, and I did. Turned out the man for me is my highschool batch mate, who used to play keyboard for me when I sing in school programs. 18+ years later we met again few days after I turned 36. 😅 We're now attending church together and sing praises to God. ❤
Pedi a Jesus que me deixasse comer do fruto. Disse Ele: “Agora não. (...) “Deves novamente voltar à Terra, e relatar a outros o que te revelei.” Então um anjo me trouxe mansamente a este mundo escuro. Algumas vezes penso que não mais posso permanecer aqui; todas as coisas da Terra parecem demasiado áridas. Sinto-me muito solitária aqui, pois vi uma Terra melhor.
Tiago, first I want to congratulate you for your work and second I would like to know if you can get the original playback (accompaniment) of the song one day at a time recorded by Max Mace

Crying while singing to this song. Thank you, Our New Covenant High Priest, Jesus Christ. ( Aaron and the earthly tabernacle / temple high priests were Old Covenant high priests, mere shadows of the future and now present New Covenant High Priest, Jesus Christ in the Order of Melchizedek in this present Original Day of Atonement that commenced in 1844 ( Daniel 8:14 KJV And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.) This present Day of Atonement / Intercession by High Priest Jesus Christ will cease at the Close of Probation when Michael / Jesus Christ stands up and stops interceding for His people. ( Daniel 12:1 KJV And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.) Thank you for posting this song.
Thank you for this! God bless your soul! ❤❤❤ Just a few minor lyrics correction though... Silence hid the anger as he took his promised pay He would show them he could make it on his own Then seething with resentment, he turned and walked away Without a backward glance at what he′d known Hurt was in the silence as he watched him fade from view This son who'd brought him laughter, joy and tears Thus began the waiting, the years without a word The praying that someday he′d reappear My son, I love you, You are forgiven You still belong here, won't you come home The family's waiting to celebrate you You are forgiven, won′t you come home A figure in the distance is etched against the sky A house black-silhouetted on the hill A father stops, suspended, oh, could this be his son The son walks resolutely through the chill This distance is now shortened, ′tween father and the son The jolt of recognition slows their pace A paralyzing question hangs silent in the air Then a father holds his son in sweet embrace My son, I love you, You are forgiven You still belong here, welcome back home The family's waiting to celebrate you All is forgiven, all is forgiven All is forgiven, welcome back home Welcome back home
