I'm still flying. I just haven't posted any new videos. Salty right now. Getting time with an instructor here that can teach Dynamic L.3 is extremely difficult in my area. I did get to fly with a trainer recently - but it was on a random occurrence and wasn't coached/new skills.
@@whindtunnel-flyer ah ok, gotcha, glad you're still flying, sorry to hear about the coaching situation. I did go thru the same thing years ago when we were without an L4.
Well, I'm in a wierd spot. I maxed out all my current instructor's sign-offs... so I have to travel further now to go to a 14' that I don't really like. It's too hard to get time there, and the instructors have a different method of teaching/different idea on what the skills actually mean. I've found this to be a strange issue where whenever I travel, the instructors in that area have a completely different idea for HUIF (ls) and HUOF (ls). I will wait a bit to move on I think. I am planning to travel maybe to FL or AZ to do some longer length sessions with old instructors I used to skydive with. I feel like maybe then I will not waste so much time. Idk. I feel like travelling to the next nearest tunnel is sort of not even really pleasant....not excited to fly there at all. Would rather learn 0 new items and work on the plethora behind me I guess.... haha
@@whindtunnel-flyer gotcha. Yeah, actually my tunnel there's no L4s, as the previous 2 aren't there anymore. There's 2 other local-ish L4s, except one just resigned I believe, and the other isn't THAT close. Fortunately I'm not worried about the other skills I don't have yet - I don't need them that badly. I would like to have them by the end of the year, but will partially depend on having someone around. And yeah some tunnels consider body position over wind speed, to dictate high vs low speed. It's annoying.
@@OZONEJUNKIE - I've yet for anyone to tell me something is HUIF (ls) and then have me show it to an instructor and have them agree. They never do. haha. They always start talking about body angles, one leg higher vs not. If that matters or not. I should probably just ask my next instructor to demonstrate what he thinks it is. Because that's what matters. hahaha
@@whindtunnel-flyer Yeah, I mean, in a way, it probably should be about the body position. There's a younger girl that flies here, and she flies head down static at 83% and this tunnel delineates by tunnel power, where 85% is considered high speed. Yet she's clearly in a HS position, bc her, for her, it IS high speed. It's the inconsistency across tunnels that's annoying.
Yeah, he's been doing this thing for a while....where he's trying to make me better. (I told him it's probably a lost cause- but he keeps trying.) Bless his heart. lmfao
@@whindtunnel-flyer as the kids would say "wait, actually?" No tunnel card here, but I've spent enough to be in a different price bracket for the tunnel. It's nice they do that, although it's less of a discount than I feel it should be.
@@OZONEJUNKIE That's pretty awesome that they have given you a small discount. I've not been as lucky! I'm going to probably try out some side flying today. I've never attempted in tunnel - but used to play around with it in the sky. When you first attempted - how did it go? Any tips? Yours looks smooooth. :p
