To Alexis Kelner. You can have all the backcountry, and mom and pop skiing you want. No one is standing in your way. But frankly, you have no right to tell alpine skiers and operators at mountain ski resorts with lifts and hotels they can’t do that. Enjoying the mountains is for everyone, not just for purists like yourself who have made enjoying the outdoors an ideology if not a religion. Live and let live!

Thank you for posting this! Delores LaChapelle was an amazing woman, skier, naturalist, writer and philosopher. Her book mentioned in this movie is now a collector's item and selling for around $100. Her second book, "Sacred Land, Sacred Sex: Rapture of the Deep : Concerning Deep Ecology and Celebrating Life" is incredibly important and sells for about $51 to $95 at this time. I wish there were more videos of her. She lived during a time that predated much of our interests in improving health by living in a manner that respects our Paleo/Primal/ Ancestral past. Obviously, I am focused on her. I am sure there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained by studying the lives and writings of the other folks featured in this movie.

Thank you for such a kind note. I'm glad you found my documentary and the part about the LaChapelles. Interviewing Delores was a special time. My small crew and I spent one night at her cozy home in Silverton for the interview and other footage we captured of her. I had no idea her books were collector's items. I just dug out a fairly new copy of "Deep Powder Snow" that I hadn't read for years -- I wanted to make sure I still had it!
