I have 2 years of accounting experience since i graduated and I already realized that i don't want to ki** myself for a employer. it is never good enough, always more work more tasks more everything. I am in the private sector, never tried public but heard it is even more demanding so i will stick to private but i am already having a mid career crisis. it is so boring, trying to find the right balance and def want my own business
I have been an auditor for the big 4 and mid sized firms and now an accountant. I hate these jobs, I find myself staring at the wall contemplating my life, for average pay. I also have an MBA but I just don’t know where to go from here? The accounting pay is not great at the moment compared to other professions considering the amount of stress and hours you are put through
I've completed my masters and was until few days back looking to pursue CPA but after looking lots of videos on accountants being CPAs leaving their jobs. I'm questioning myself to whether pursue CPA or not. so yeah I would like to ask you if CPA is worth to be pursued in 2024?
Hello, I just started back in school at 28 for my accounting degree. Is there still hope for non traditional students having a decent career? I’ll be 32 upon completion.
thank you so much for this video! I've heard that once you leave the Big 4 in tax, it's hard to go private/have PT opportunities so knowing that you've successfully secured those positions is encouraging!
This is so informative. It gives people who are interested in the field a sneak peek into what a market analyst does in this role. I do have a question for yoir guest: what was yhe source to find out that the real users of the product were the daughters in one of her examples? I thought Google Analytics does not collect that.
Thanks for sharing such information blog. I have a question -if I passed my CPA from Connecticut state in USA then in that case can I get job any other states of America. Is there any other exam required
Hey jen thanks for the informative video ! I'm going to be majoring in accounting and had a question. When I work in public accounting fur 2-3 years and get my CPA, would I be able to work seasonally for 4 months as a contractor then take time off ? I've read that some accountants work for the Big 4 or other firms using contractors during the busy season. How common is this and is it always busy every year where one can find a 4-5 month contract ? Thanks.

Instead of waiting for complimentary webinars for your continuing education, contemplate investing in an unrestricted subscription available at a remarkably reasonable rate through my-cpe. Relying on my-cpe for my ongoing education has proven to be a game-changer for me.
i have been CPA since 2 year and I've been using my-cpe for a while now, and I'm always impressed by how they manage to keep their courses both affordable and incredibly high-quality. Plus, everything is so up-to-date, it feels like they're always one step ahead.
You can literally find this exact same video from every profession. I think the profession is not the issue but the job and the boss and toxic work environment
Thank you so much for your advice. I’m in public accounting and going through my first busy season right now. I’m so tired from it. I definitely need to get out of public accounting
Thanks for the info. I think my-cpe is one of the best platform I came across which provides valuable courses. They are pretty affordable provide grate value unlike other platforms with free cpe and provide sales demos. Which platform do you use?
Accounting to me feels so lonely, i feel like theres rarely interaction/talking needed between the team. Im going into inside sales, pay is around the same. I guess if you have your CPA , you hve an opportunity to make more than sales, but too monotonous.
This exact thing happened to me. I was the team champion but as soon as I started to prioritize myself I was the worst employee. I was still in public accounting. Actually my last day was last Friday.
I’ve been a CPA for about 7 years now (3 years in public and 4 years private) and I’ve noticed the more I commit my entire existence to work, the less stressed I am/I start to find work kind of enjoyable… but the second I start trying to have expectations for a personal life, I immediately become stressed and depressed about being in this unforgiving profession. I really need to figure something out before it’s too late.
Can you do a M3 adjustments -! Please or send me a template I’m struggling to understand what accounts need to be adjusted from Beginning accrued vacation End accrued vacation Type of thing.
