Thank you so much for what you are doing. Now that it is ok or acceptable for our black/ brown community let’s get the necessary help that is available. Therapy has NOT always been acceptable for us.
I saw it 9 times in the theater when it came out in 97. 7 of those werent my choice lol my grandmother was my baby sitter, and took me. My great grandmother and her adored that movie, and saw it 17 times in the theater!
👏Say👏this👏louder! This has been my favorite episode of the podcast so far! Our ability to read, impacts our ability to write, which impacts our ability to organize and communicate our feelings and ideas when we speak. At SPC I work closely with students and community members preparing for and earning industry certifications. Those who struggle to get certified, fundamentally, are often struggling silently with reading, and reading comprehension. In my opinion, this is the single greatest stumbling block that prevents individuals from paving a path to a better future for themselves and sustaining it. Let's continue this conversation, and other hurdles facing our TITANS won't be as tough to tackle. Thank you Dr. Williams and former Speaker Sprowls for having this open and honest conversation.
I think you are probably a good person but telling someone who may be having a bad day and is in a bad mood, "so what" is kind of cruel, in my opinion.
What about you showing some compassion towards the guy on the plane? Would that not be a positive response to someone who is very sad? Are you so limited in your possible reactions?
Prager, have you ever listened to yourself telling people that if they feel "moody" they are a problem for others. Why not invite the "moody" to talk about what's bothering them or maybe have empathy for them? Maybe suggest that the person see a therapist if they are really feeling down?
Are people who are sad, maybe even seriously depressed not acting morally? I don't think so. I think they are doing the best they can at that time. I've heard Prager before and I think he needs to practice a lot of understanding toward real-life fellow human beings
I would like to say thank you to the United Way Organization for inviting me and my husband to the Exchange Hotel. The Woman’s History Month event was memorable. I still have my pin and one day would like to corresponded with United Way. Dr. Williams I am a fan of your Pod Cast. You are accomplishing amazing things. Thank you.
Thought I was going to make it through this podcast without tearing up, but here we go at 36:28! It's really a pleasure to serve the SPC community, I love working each day to support Dr. Willams, vision and impact. We're doing good work here. 🙌
Setting apart the past and the present. Standing in the Gap has a graceful sense of purpose, I am grateful for where I am now than where I know I could not have been without SPC.
