I’m Angela, a full-time vintage seller, and I’m sharing with you the behind-the-scenes of my vintage small business, my vintage finds, the treasures that I sell, how I pack my fragile items, I’ll take you hunting for vintage with me and more!
The mirror that doesn’t have a hanging system can be used as a tray, it reflects perfumes, jewelry or beautiful hair accessories on a side or dressing table
You are teaching me about transferware. I always wanted some on my dinner table but never could commit to one pattern and maker. I think i should collect mismatched colors and patterns now.
So many good things! I mentally bought a lot LOL including the print at 4:44 😍Love the biscuit barrel best, I am just a sucker for them. Even that one which has had all the nickel polished away on top is still lovely, especially as I like brass better than silver tones. Can't wait to see next episode! Car boots are the best x
Just found your videos and love them. I love your accent and your English is very good. Great sense of humour too. Once I ran out of money I tend to go home lol, can't torture myself by carrying on looking haha.
Aww thank you so much! ❤️ That’s a good strategy but at that point I was debating if I should go find a cash machine and come back 🤣 In the end I decided that I already have way too much stock and I just wanted to go home 😅
How do you keep listed and unlisted separated? When I list something, it gets wrapped and put into numbered boxes. All protected and easy to find when it sells. 😊
I keep them mixed and I usually know where everything is, but I must admit that a couple of times I had to really search for an item because I had forgotten where I put them 🙈🤣 You are so organised, I could never be like that! 🤩 Isn’t it inconvenient when someone purchases more than one item?
Thank you, that’s great to hear! 🙌 I was actually thinking that maybe they have more chances to sell quickly on Etsy rather than my website, I think I’ll list them on Etsy today ☺️
Hey I love your videos Patina on brass is such an individual choice, for me the lovely vase you found looks to have too much patina. If you cleaned it with vinegar and soda crystals it might restore it and then it would soon get a 'fresher' patina with a little time. Looking forward to you next car boot video x
What a great video Angela, I really enjoyed it! And this haul is really something 😍 That fan mirror is stunning, I live the way it stands on the bow. Also love the set of brass bowls on 3 feet and the lidded boxes. I mean everything's so good 😆 I also spotted a few things at the car boot sale, the quality seemed 👌
Love the fruit it’s unique. The horses are nice. I think someone who loves horses will buy them. I think you have a great eye for vintage or antique or just exceptional.
Lip on the brass pitcher is to hold the ice back when pouring. The crazing and stains is from age it’s to be expected with vintage or antiques. Part of the charm
So many lovely things! I saw a scalloped bowl in one of your return boxes in a pattern with a pheasant (I think) on white background that someone gave me tiny dishes in that pattern for my wedding gift. The mouldy canisters you can wash with bleach, water and some soap. I get tea stains out of white teacups with a little bleach -- just wash well with soapy water afterwards.
Thank you, I’ll try with bleach ❤️ I’m donating The bird of paradise bowl because I had a teapot in the same pattern which took ages to sell, so they’re not popular in my shop ☺️
That's to funny...I bought the same whistling pie bird while in Chippenham last fall. So many dish items u would have bought. I wonder how hard it is to ship??? What I really wanted was the two yellow teacup sets & the drinking pitcher with four matching glasses. Yes! So glad you got the frog!!!😂 he's cute.
Thanks! 🤩 I didn’t buy the pitcher with glasses because I already have a few in my shop and I’m trying to refrain myself from buying more until those sell 🤭 Maybe I’ll make a video about how I pack fragile items if that’s something of interest
Blue and white is beautiful 😍 lovely video and well worth it to go to posher part of town, loving the music too. Oh and it’s PercephOneeeee I think …. I mean I am from Russia originally 😂😂😂
Most vintage dishes have crazing and some stains. Great for displaying. Maybe not for every day use. Love it. I am a new subscriber. This is my first video. I enjoyed the shopping. Great items
ooh you came across some lovely things - I would've snapped up the jug at 2:07 (if not damaged) and the paintings, which were a steal! I like the yellow cottage one better. Also the wedgwood style jug at 7:28 and definitely the crowns, they are so cute! The petit point dish and covered bowl 8:20 I would've got too, mostly because I just bought a manicure set that match them! It's worth quite a bit so I would assume the dish/pot are too, anything with embroidery on is a good buy/sell for me.
The jasperware jug didn’t seem very good quality like Wedgwood, that’s why I left it. The oriental style jug I actually regret not buying, it was so nice and it felt very luxurious and good quality. The petit point pieces weren’t priced, I assumed that that bin had just been donated. I should have asked though, really loved them ❤️
