I have holidayed In Great Yarmouth for over 40 years and now visit frequently as i enjoy the place so much so there will be many video updates to come in 2024.
Stayed at elm beach in 2002/3 caravan number 10 on the front row the sand didn't come up as far as it is now it was well back looks like the sand dunes have gone aswell. We used to holiday at sundowner holiday park at Newport near hemsby in chalets bloody brilliant. Malcolm and Sheila from Workington in Cumbria up north.
Great memories. Used to go to the Caister holiday camp every year from 1981 to 1987 with family and mates. One year me and a girl I met there walked along the beach path from the holiday camp into Great Yarmouth. We walked back the long way past the racecourse and the old North Denes airfield. 😊
I lived next to Wally windmill move from wales 🏴 had some fun times there when I was a kid day and night . We used to leave the fire exit open a little bit to go In At night lol
Michelle Martin why don't you go for a holiday? In great Yarmouth. And stay at seashore holiday park. To me it's the best gorgeous and beautiful fantastic and wow outstanding caravan park I really love great Yarmouth we will be there there in September for 2 weeks. From the 20 th of September to the 4th of October and it will take us almost 5 hours to get to great Yarmouth. 3 trains we have to catch
I was born in Norwich in 1945; the family moved to Great Yarmouth in 1956, thereabouts, as my father took the position of superintendent at the power station. That’s right, that tall chimney in these pictures ( 365 feet tall he told me ) , somewhat of an eyesore, it worked well for many years. Until the new gas fired station was built, still there,. Anyway now I’m 79 living in Vancouver Canada since 1964, thank you these pictures bring back fond memories . 🥹🥹👍👍
I used to live near great Yarmouth Gorleston on sea is where I lived loved it we moved there in 1992 to 2003 it was family that bought us back to rugby Lovely seaside resort hope to go back sometime soon
Don't think I've seen so many big arcades in such a small area before..I wouldn't say it looks very appealing there.ive never been.bit oss would go for a weekend..is there places to eat a decent meal..
