if you have any complaints about the company and their shifty Warranty antics, please file a complaint with your state Consumer affairs division.... it easy online.
The riding I like most is going to a destination, maybe have lunch, then return. I don't care too much for being confined to a park or restricted area. In my state (AZ) my SxS is road legal and off-roading. But 60" keeps me off most off-road trails only. But I don't mind. Seems like many states aren't too favorable for SxS, but dual sport MCs and the like are acceptable.
@danburch9989 Yeah, pa is getting better with the parks and some roads being opened to atvs. I don't think they realize the revenue it could bring in. I would love being able to ride my sxs to get ice cream or run to the store, but this state can't pull their heads out of there a$$ lol.
I just picked up my riding Mower from the repair shop, engine and parts in a separate box, I'm fixing it myself and I filed a complaint against Husqvarna with the state of Texas Attorney General, I hope they get back to me soon, the repair shop didn't charge me anything and they tried their best to get warranty on it, but 3-1/2 months is too long for me and will have it working in a couple days since I am Handicapped and things take a little longer to do these days..... but it will be done Right.
Husqvarna Screwed me too, I bought a 42" 18.5hp Riding mower from Lowes, 1-1/2 years of operation and the Briggs engine locked up, Governor threw a weight and got stuck in the gears, I took it to a Warranty dealer, they said Briggs and Stratton handles the warranty, ok fine, 3 months went by and I called them, they said Briggs won't warranty the repair for the motor, Briggs said the motor was not maintained properly and the engine over heated, all this from a picture sent by the dealer, the dealer said the engine looked fine, he said he would send the motor to Briggs 2 week ago, I called him today and he said the motor is still there, they didn't send the motor, I told him I will pickup the mower tomorrow and fix it myself, Parts cost from Amazon about $70.00, these Warranties are worthless and they know it, it's just a teaser to get you to buy their product, Briggs is another one that doesn't honor their warranty, they will always say improper maintenance caused the motor to over heat and caused Damage, it's a Lie.... Dishonest Corporations
Nice video. You missed some of the best trails in pennsylvania. Rock Run Recreation, AOAA, Mountain Ridge, and Ben Franklin Range. I would definitely recommend them all.
They are an awful company to get parts for and they build sub par 2 stroke equipment and mowers. Toro , Bad Boy, Hustler all make mowers in that class that are much stronger. There's a reason no pros use Husqvarna chain saws, trimmers, blowers, or their garbage mowers. This company bought out Dixon, a great zero turn company literally to close them down and discontinue parts availability.... That's just one example of AYP/Husqvarna scummy business ethics
You guys really need better consumer protection laws. If a 10 warranty is offered, it needs to be honoured. I've got a husky 2038 ride on mower and the deck is garbage and it kept throwing the belt because there was too much flex in the deck. I bent up some 20mm steel rod to fit in the little upturned gutter that runs around the perimeter of the deck bottom and welded it in. It reduced most of the vibration from the deck and i haven't thrown a belt since and it stopped more cracks forming from other welded areas. 2 years now with no problems. The 25 hp Kawasaki engine on it is the only quality part on the entire machine.
Regardless of your expectations, buying a cheap ztr mower for tough mowing conditions and that many years was/is pretty optimistic. Maybe they should have covered the weld at best, but at least it can be easily fixed and you can get a few more years out of it.
@thomasm9139 that's not what this is about. It's about a company stated something then doesn't back it up. I think a 10-year warranty is crazy, but they put it in writing and won't stand by it. That's on them, not me. And 3k on a mower isn't a little to spend. That should last years. If you break down 3k by the 42 months, I've used it. That's $71 dollars a month to mow my grass. I should get 10 summers before that mower is junk in my eyes. These company's build shit and charge top dollar.
@@MakingNoise45 I hear you and agree they should have least paid for the weld. I mow a lot of acreage and would not even consider a stamped deck with a zero turn mower. They are fine for lawn tractors but that's it. Anyway good luck it could be worse.
A $3,000 Toro Time Cutter of 10 yrs ago can last 1500+hrs of steady use. A number of small lawn care companies used them prior to standers taking over the industry
I'm not very happy to hear that. I bought a 354XD last year and I already lost the strike plate under the deck. Their welds are garbage. I lost count on how many of the anti skid wheels I already replaced.
You should post the warranty and the letter denying the warranty coverage on every internet web site that you can find. That's a shame. I really like Husqvarna products. But I won't be buying their lawnmower. Thanks for the heads-up.
If you see no other comment then see this: You should 100% send this to Louis Rossman as he is a huge proponent for right to repair with a large platform. He has a RU-vid channel and is mainly in the tech industry but this is right up his alley. For sure reach out to him!
They're hoping that you don't take this to court over this. Talk to a lawyer. A lawyer sending them something on his letterhead might be enough to make dicide to provide you with a new deck.
@ianbelletti6241 I could buy a new deck for the cost of the lawyer. It's not worth my time or money. I welded it back together, and I'll run their name through the shit for the rest of my life.
@@MakingNoise45 it depends. I'm assuming the deck is worth several hundred dollars and the letter will only cost you about $50. It never hurts to ask a lawyer what the charge for the letter. Some might write it and send it off pretty cheap. A good lawyer would put good legal references in it as well. You could also contact the attorney general of your state and let them know that Huskvarna isn't standing by their warrantee for you and should look into suing them on behalf of all the state's residents.
@rickmihalik9890 I don't agree with that. I've owned the mower for 7 years. It's getting to the end of its life. I could see if it was newer. They did offer to weld it for me, but like I said, I'm a welder. I know I can do better than anyone they have there lol
I have this exact mower deck. Welds all over the thing have busted. Tried to have it warrantied. No go. I've had it welded back together 4 times now. It's been garage kept and cleaned after every use. Still looks brand new everywhere else. Unfortunately unless you buy a fabricated deck on a mower that costs more than $4000 you won't get anything better from any brand.
@dudemcgee256 I ended up buying a deck for my john deere 1025r to use while I fought with husqvarna. Now, when my z-turn craps out, I'll just mow with that. It's not as easy as my z-turn but way more reliable.
@@MakingNoise45roll over a stump or pipe, supposed to warranty that? Imo they should bc they make enough profit anyway. But those goddamn shareholders want record profits every year, and if you make satisfied and happy customers, that's gonna affect profits for this year. Screw any time in the next five years where they buy your products again because you treated them right.
@hampsterstew1234321 I think it's just from hanging weight. I am sure that I hit stuff just like everyone else but nothing that would rip it off. The other bracket was cracking, so I welded it as well
I live in Arkansas we have several places to ride. Most people ride in the Ozark National forest. Their is literally 5000 plus miles to ride anything from mild to what the hell was I thinking. Lots of attractions to see Car wash falls, Buds cabin, strawberry bluffs just to name a few. The weather changes the trails here they are not maintained and they are free to ride. The trail you took last year might have a 5 foot deep wash out this year.
Don’t really want to lose the tailgate tie down …. Wondering if the tie down can be bent UP to get it out of the way? Otherwise i may just go with the Ford damper that is hidden behind the passenger tail light. I think the one you installed is actually smoother though!
@_ready__ I never haul anything with my tailgate down. So it doesn't bother me, but what does is that it wasn't in any of the product videos I watched. This setup was very cheap. I imagine the Ford product isn't cheap at all.
@@MakingNoise45 I really want to keep the tie down (I think) but the cheaper version you have does seem to offer a softer landing. I think the increased angle of the cheap version enables the system to have a bit more leverage upon decent of the tail gate and those least few inches of final opening become slower and enable it to provide a softer landing from what i have seen and compared on videos. Cheaper if better is usually a great thing!
My buddy used a piece of steel channel with a bunch of holes in it across the top of his kayak and he put boat fenders that inflate for the outriggers. It's working for now but your design looks better. I am thinking about adding some smaller ones to my yak.
@comfortablynumb9342 idk your size, but I'm around 200 lbs, and I wouldn't drop below 4" for the outriggers. I do want to try them related to the front!
How do you like the 10 speed transmission? Are you going to put an Oil Catch Can as well? Hope you do a video, just found your channel. Like your content....
@samuelrgonzales111 it's a 5.0 that's a v8 so no need for a catch can. I like the 10 speed I'm avarging 20 mpg! That's not even running eco mode. Thanks for liking and following 😀 👍
@briray318 I don't think so. I had a 16 3.5 EcoBoost. I put a magnaflow cat back on it, and it sounded horrible. At an idle, it sounded like a race car, but as soon as you got into the gas, it turned into a rice burner. I took it off and just did a resonator delete. It sounded a little better. It's hard to make a v6 sound good fyi. That's the reason I bought a 5.0 lol
