I'm a DJ from The Midlands in England. I love hip-hop, particularly old school and golden age tunes, as well as funk, soul, breaks - all that good stuff. On my channel you'll find some of my mixes, which you can also download as MP3s via SoundCloud if you like them. Enjoy, and thanks for looking!
I TOOK MY MOMTO SEE HIM IN THE 90S SHE HADN'T BEEN TO A LIVE CONCERT IN YEARS I WAS IN MY LATE 30;S SHE WAS IN HER LATE 50'S AT MSG IN NYC. SHE HAD A BALL AND SAID TO ME CAN WE GO BACK AND SEE NEXT WEEK. I SMIILED AND SAID NO MOMMY HE WONT BE HERE NEXT WEEK. I BROUGHT A LUTHER VANDROSS HAT AND SHE LOVED IT.
Before this July '87 Wembley series, Luther played Hammersmith Odeon between 11-14 February and the shows were sold out; there was even a heart-shaped bed (cheesy, I know) on the stage on the Valentine's Day gig. Luther was in top form, the audience was chanting his name through much of the gig, women were screaming his name and the atmosphere was more intimate re rapport, due to venue size, yet off the hook. Luther was more spontaneous than he was by the time he came back and performed at Wembley; his BVs Ava Cherry, Lisa Fischer and Kevin Owens were given their own little moments, the setlist was different/longer (including 'See Me', 'A House Is Not A Home' and 'So Amazing'), and Luther even asked for a performed a few requests from the LV library (or appeared to). He had released the 'Give Me The Reason' album a few months before which was the soundtrack to the popular movie: 'Ruthless People', but he seemed genuinely, pleasantly surprised at his popularity with the Hammersmith audience and those who went to one of these initial forays to the UK, knew that they experienced something special.
One of the greatest vocalists of all time. His legacy lives on in his wide body of work, trully amazing, here and now he will never be replecated, bless up LV,you are definitely missed!

I'm not sure it was ever officially released. Survivalist have a Discogs page, but this particular song is not listed on any of their albums or 12"s, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere else.
We are so lucky Randy Crawford performed here in our country the Philippines her very 1st concert Dec. 25, 1988 at the Ultra (now Phil Sport Arena) and I've watched it. She's so Amazing!
2024 listener here. Such beautiful memories I have of performing this concert every weekend with my AMAZING mother who sang lead as my niece and I sang backup with costumes etc. What a beautiful to reminisce upon. I just sent this to my mom as I shed happy tears on how excited she’ll be to see this again after so many decades. 💯🥲💕
