Welcome to Windy City Elevators! This is the channel where I make elevator videos, mainly around the city of Chicago. Sometimes, I make videos of trains, flights, and other cool stuff as well.
Please feel free to watch my videos and leave any comments containing more details of the elevators (fixtures, chimes, etc.), corrections, or your viewpoints in my videos since I may not be familiar with all the elevator specs. Any inappropriate/offensive comments or comments that display a private location's name/address will be removed. This channel is PG rated, meaning that using foul language is allowed, as long as it's kept to a minimum.

These elevators will just close the doors if held open long enough, accompanied by a loud buzzer. Decent elevators, but could use a modernization from Otis.
DieselDucy was actually treated like this in the Millennium Hilton. I guess I didn't pay attention to the end of the video. But that was a good prank. At least you didn't get treated the way DieselDucy did which was absolutely ridiculous because he was a guest.
These elevators during the day are usually least busy between 12:30 PM and 3 PM. In most hotels, elevators are usually least busy between checkout and check-in times.
Those used to be manual elevators with bellhop running them, The door panels used to be glass where you can see through the shaft because my friend Al Gonazles a Korean War USMC vet remembers them while working in New York back in the 50s
Do these panels run Windows CE? I’m asking because on Windows CE you hear that sound wherever you touch the screen anywhere. You can hear it on older GPSes and price checkers which run it.
