This interview Brandon seems very comfortable with more than all his other interviews. I think he likes the naturalness of it, just sitting on bed, very casual, chill. She was poking tho at some sensitive areas tho, he took it as sincere kindness and he didn't care

From what I understand about this show, the host (Paula Yates) was quite famous for doing very personal interviews, whilst lying with the guest on a bed? I'm not sure, I didn't grow up with this tv show, but as an Aussie, I've seen her interview 'on the bed' with Michael Hutchence, and a few others, where she's very personal with them.
It's a pity. It's a mix of Keanu and deep. It could have been his role. Why would a real gun be used on a set? What moron would do that. Maybe he planted it and wanted to go?! who knows?. It sure was an extremely improbable accident. And it's really ridiculous!.
